Confused, the Kappa tilts its head and looks at the demon Ose.

『You can ignore her. Miss Witch here is a bit off her rocker. . . . . .ughhh!』

Marie uses magic to torment Ose.
She constricts him like a rag using telekinetic magic.
ㅤ
Watching this, Kappa is astounded.
ㅤ
“Ah, you. . . . . .you’re really strong, aren’t you?”
“I’m alright. Ah. . . . . .I’m hungry. . . . . .”

Marie glances at Kappa briefly.

“Woah, hold on! I have some food!”

The light disappears from Marie’s eyes as she thrusts her right hand toward Kappa.

However, animal-eared chef Kaito exclaims with sparkling eyes.

“Ah, you know your stuff, young man. Exactly, it’s a cucumber. A vegetable.”

Marie examines the cucumber closely.

“So this is edible? How do you eat it?”
“You can eat it as is, but it tastes great if you pickle it or dip it in miso.”
“Miso. . . . . .”

Marie grips Ose tightly.
ㅤ
『Ughhhh.』
“Produce the miso.”
『Can’t you just say it verbally! Seriously. . . . . .』
ㅤ
Ose can produce any kind of seasoning.
From the demon’s tail, a brown paste-like substance. . . . . .miso is produced.

Marie eats the cucumber dipped in miso.
“. . . . . .”
“How is it. . . . . .?”
ㅤ
Marie exhales with satisfaction.
“Delicious.”
“Phew, I’m relieved. . . . . .We have plenty more, so please eat as much as you’d like.”
“You’re very generous.”

Marie munches on the cucumber pickled in miso.
Kappa says with a wry smile.
ㅤ
“This is my way of saying thank you.”
“Thank you? Did I do something?”
“Yes. You defeated Tsuchigumo. That creature had been oppressing this area. We Kappas were driven out of our homes because of it.”

Marie defeated Tsuchigumo with her magic.
Thanks to that, peace has returned to the Kappas.
ㅤ
“Thank you, Witch-sama. I don’t know how to express my gratitude.”
ㅤ
After swallowing the cucumber, Marie says,

“It’s not like I did it for you or anything.”
ㅤ
Then,
Kappa’s eyes widen as he says,
ㅤ
“Are you a Tsundere?”
“Yes, I am a Tsundere!”
ㅤ
It appears the term “Tsundere” also exists in the Far East.
Of course, Marie did it all for her own sake.
