Watching the recorded footage provided by his subordinate Inozuka, Kakuhara Tameyuki, the representative of Kakuhara Group, taps his desk with his fingertips.

He organizes his thoughts, tapping the desk rhythmically, and addresses Inozuka, who is standing upright in front of the desk.

“How do you plan to fill the loss?”

“While examining sniping points, I have found a colony of kukumerka. If you can provide support.”

“Kukumerka, eh? Well, fine. I’ll provide the support, but remember, Inozuka, this is something you did on your own.”

“I understand.”

Kakuhara holds up three fingers, silently thrusting them at Inozuka.

It means to hand over thirty percent of the sales in exchange for exporting kukumerka.

Inozuka nods deeply.

Kakuhara, losing interest, points to the door of the room.

“Excuse me.”

“Our relationship is only about money from now on. Don’t show your face.”

After shooing away Inozuka, Kakuhara looks at Banba, who is standing beside him.

“Is this Bomber?”

“Borrowed All-Rounder, fighting style that heavily relies on explosives, reckless to the point of ferocity, looks like Bomber.”

Banba answers with confidence.

Kakuhara agrees but cannot assert it since the account name is different.

It’s hard to think there are many Actors who use grenades without fearing self-destruction.

If this is Bomber, it is mysterious indeed.

Kakuhara starts to tap the desk with his nails instead of his fingertips. The sharp, unpleasant sound resonates in the room, and Banba looks like he wants to say something, looking at Kakuhara’s fingers.

Noticing the look, Kakuhara glares at Banba.

“What is it?”

“No, nothing.”

With a sneering smile, Banba is looked at with an incredulous gaze, and Kakuhara continues.

“What’s the history of the stolen black box?”

“It’s a captured item. There’s no repair history, so it won’t be traced.”

“There won’t be a full-blown collision.”

They want to avoid war with the government-linked 『Amagi Agricultural Development General Group』 and the famous clan 『New World Tree Housing』. They can surely win, but there’s no profit.

It’s not arrogance; they can surely win.

But Kakuhara, a politician, must avoid waging a proxy war using government groups and Actanoids. There are painful secrets like overseas backdoor dealings and smuggling, so they should avoid attention.

Kakuhara concludes that they should pull out of this matter.

Banba, seeming to sense the decision, questions Kakuhara with a sneering smile.

“Are you going to crush Bomber?”

The current operation was ruined by Bomber. Hachigi Technology was also crushed by Bomber.

Thinking of exclusion was natural, but Kakuhara’s thoughts were different.

“I can’t see the back. I’m bothered that I don’t know the bottom of the funding. A guy who would crush the Shepherd head-on with a loaned machine? If that Bomber guerrilla fights you with a zombie strategy, it’ll be a headache just to think about.”

There are options like using groups affiliated with Kakuhara Group, such as Saeda Group or Onaka Manufacturing, but without washing Bomber’s background relations, it’s unclear how long it will drag on.

Banba denies Kakuhara’s words.

“With me and 『EGHO』, we could keep pounding Bomber one-sidedly, right?”

Kakuhara thinks it’s possible with the Order-series Actanoid 『EGHO』 given to Banba.

But Kakuhara still shakes his head, insisting that a direct confrontation with Bomber should be avoided.

“Banba, there’s another job for you.”

“Is it urgent?”

“Ω Style Electrical Engineering is up to something. If that little girl is moving, she must have found strategically important land.”

In the New World, Ω Style Electrical Engineering is a leading company in the power and communication industry.

Though Bomber’s achievements are notable, he’s still an individual force. He’s not a factor that controls the battlefield.

However, Ω Style Electrical Engineering, which secures communication lines, influences Actanoid’s range of activity, thus impacting strategy.

It’s still unclear what land Ω Style Electrical Engineering is claiming, but they may need to interfere with all their might.

It would be a bad idea to start hunting Bomber, tying up Banba and 『EGHO』, their greatest forces, for a long time.

“Get Actanoid captured and prepare your forces. A large-scale battle may be coming.”

“Understood. But because of the survey that Bomber is participating in, there aren’t many units that seem capturable. I can only gather a Band or so.”

“That will be a wall. What do you think I gave you 『EGHO』 for?”

“Understood.”

Banba leaves the room to capture the machines. He’ll probably continue to use 『EGHO』 in the Actor’s room, focusing on bullying the weak.

Kakuhara stands up from his chair and stands in front of the map of the New World on the wall. There are still many inaccuracies in the scale and many unexplored black parts.

He points to the battlefield between Red Bell Forest and Koroge Iwa Garage, where Bomber took down Shepherd.

“Bomber, was your intention to turn the transport route into a battlefield? If it’s a battlefield, Red Bell’s transport will stop. Could it be unrelated to the government?”

Kakuhara was still concerned about Bomber’s background.

“The movement is that of a mercenary, but the tactics used are money-driven explosive tactics, treating Actanoid as expendable. It’s not a movement of a financially struggling mercenary. There must be a backer.”

There’s a backer. That should be the conclusion, but Kakuhara felt something stuck in his thoughts.

“With a backer, those skills, why only minimal armament with a borrowed All-Rounder? It doesn’t fit.”

Kakuhara frowns at the discomfort of not being able to logically derive an answer.

Unless he investigates the financial strength, he can’t act. In the end, this was the conclusion.

He never imagined that there would be a private Actor who would fend off Actanoid’s sporadic attacks one after another and then become complacent.

Kakuhara switches his thoughts.

“I’m curious about Bomber’s presence at that location. There’s no way he could have predicted our attack. Is there a spy among us?”

Realizing his lack of popularity, Kakuhara thinks of the possibility of a spy. It wouldn’t be strange.

“Did the Masked Gardeners betray us?”

Masked Gardeners, covert gardeners. Normally, invading another country’s New World is prohibited by treaty, but this code refers to foreign task forces that invade for resource looting.

They are not reliable trading partners because of their identity.

Kakuhara glances out the window.

“A little tightening up is needed.”

If information is leaked now, it would be an international issue in a few weeks.

Thinking through the problem, Kakuhara considers what information to leak.

“Secandia Apples should be fine.”
