The Weakest Summoner’s School Conquest – I Became Strong Only After Losing – Chapter 9

A few hours after moving into the dormitory.

Albero and the new students were summoned by the dorm manager and gathered in a place resembling a cafeteria.

There, they were divided by gender and measurements for uniforms were taken.

A thin curtain was all that separated them. Taking measurements in a dining hall was unheard of.

Some students complained, but to no avail.

Albero looked at his classmates without any complaints.

“. . . . . .”

“Hey, what’s on your mind, Albero?”

“Well, I just realized there are only about thirty students in Class F.”

Fifteen boys and fifteen girls, an even split.

The girls seemed hesitant to undress behind the thin curtain. Understandable.

However, the staff in charge of measurements became impatient, so they seemed to give in.

The boys undressed by the wall, leaving only their shirts and trousers on.

They then lined up to be measured.

“We shouldn’t be treated like this.”

After getting measured, Howl chuckled and looked at the curtain.

The girls were still being measured. Thankfully, the person taking the measurements was a woman.

“Can you believe it? Getting measured together in this old cafeteria. We’re nobility, you know? If our parents found out. . . . . .haha, probably wouldn’t matter.”

“That’s probably why we’re treated like this.”

After changing, Albero leaned against a wall with Howl.

They wanted to leave, but the manager said, “I still have something to tell you.”

Then Ratts, who had finished changing, joined them.

“Heh, girls changing, huh? . . . . . .Want a peek?”

“”. . . . . .””

“What’s with that look?”

“You could get expelled.”

“Man, you’re such an idiot.”

Immediately, both Howl and Albero chided him.

Marlon, who was hurriedly changing, joined just as the measurements ended and the curtain was removed.

Of course, the girls had finished changing. . . . . .Albero heard Ratts click his tongue in disappointment but ignored it.

The measuring staff left, and the elderly woman in charge of the dorm spoke in a shrill voice.

“To put it simply, this is the dormitory for Class F freshmen. We need to decide on cleaning and meal duties.”

“”””””Eh. . . . . .?””””””

“Listen, in Class F, you take care of your own business. So decide amongst yourselves.”

Saying that, the elderly manager left without introducing herself.

The thirty students of Class F were left behind. Both boys and girls looked around silently.

Ratts was the one to break the silence.

“Alright!! Let’s quickly decide on cleaning and meal duties! Oh, by the way, I’m Ratts. Nice to meet you all!”

Prompted by Ratts, the atmosphere lightened and people began to talk.

Albero approached Ratts.

“You’re good at this, aren’t you?”

“Heh. I’ve always wanted to be like a class leader! Do I look like one?”

“Hmm, more like a goofball?”

“What?! You, Albero!”

“Ow ow ow! I was just kidding!”

Albero groaned as Ratts put him in a headlock.

Some girls giggled at the sight. Ratts, in a good mood, went over to them.

Howl had already befriended some girls, and Marlon was mingling with other boys and girls.

Albero was left out.

“. . . . . .Hmm.”

“Ah. . . . . .”

There, his eyes met with a girl.

A girl with pale peach-colored long hair. She quickly averts her eyes upon seeing Albero.

Albero, having never talked to any girl other than Ashe, felt slightly embarrassed.

The girl seemed not to be the assertive type. She looked like she didn’t fit in with the other girls.

“Hey, Albero, can you cook?”

“What do you want, Ratts. . . . . .I’ve never cooked before. I can clean, though.”

“Then, you’re on cleaning duty. Hey, what about you? What’s your name?”

“Eh, um, I, it’s Laby. . . . . .I, I can. . . . . . also clean.”

“Alright! . . . . . .Oh, it’s split evenly. So, we’ve decided on the cleaning team and cooking team! I’ll announce it now!”

Thanks to Ratts taking charge, the roles were quickly decided.

While Ratts was reading out the names, Albero looked at Laby.

“. . . . . .”

“U, uh, oh.”

And then, their eyes met perfectly, and they hastily looked away.
