The Weakest Summoner’s School Conquest – I Became Strong Only After Losing – Chapter 147

“Albero・Rushout. I grant you the title of Baron.”

“Thank you.”

Albero was bestowed the title of nobility by King Zenovect during the audience.

After receiving the ceremonial sword, he pledged his loyalty to the nation. Recognized for his achievements in demon subjugation, the nobles in attendance applauded him.

Zenovect smiles warmly.

“I apologize. The ceremony has taken place, but you’ll have to wait about three more years to officially receive your title. Until then, you’ll be treated as a provisional Baron without any land. . . . . .It’s an exception. You have time, why not learn about land management? How about learning from your father?”

“. . . . . .Haha.”

I would rather die.

But since Zenovect was serious, he just ambiguously smiled to play it off.

To be honest, Albero found it 『troublesome』. Being a noble, especially a Baron, and managing territories even if they’re in the outskirts. . . . . .it’s all so cumbersome.

In the past, he wished to renounce his noble title, leave the Asgard Kingdom, and live in some corner of a small country while farming. Even though he had only been in the academy for about half a year, it felt like such a long time ago.

The ceremony ended, and Albero exited.

As he did, Yorha was waiting for him.

“Good job.”

“I’m really tired. . . . . .I’m not good with this kind of stuff.”

“Haha. Sorry, but consider it a reward for the demon subjugation.”

“Yeah, I get it.”

“Also, there’s another gold reward this time. Separate from the title and land.”

“Eh? . . . . . .Is it another barrel full of gold coins?”

“Yes. Speaking of which, why don’t you buy a house in the town below the castle? There are several good properties available at a discount, and my subordinates will take care of the maintenance.”

“A house? Hmm. . . . . .I guess it’s better than just dumping a barrel full of gold coins in an empty room. I’ll leave it to you.”

“Okay, come to my room. I have several properties, so you can choose whichever you like.”

“. . . . . .Your room?”

“Yes. Oh, if you want to, I can accommodate that too? You’re now a noble, so you’re certainly qualified to marry a princess like me.”

“No thanks. I’d rather not join the royal family.”

“Oh, what a pity. Let’s go to my room then.”

Albero followed Yorha’s lead.

And then, Yorha whispered something.

“. . . . . .(idiot).”

“Hm?”

“Nothing, it’s nothing.”

Albero tilted his head in confusion.

◇◇◇◇◇◇

Albero chose and purchased a property he liked from among those owned by Yorha. He hired a few of Yorha’s subordinates as servants to manage the house.

He thought of it as a hideaway for emergencies and thus secured a home within the Asgard Kingdom.

After finishing his errands, he left the royal castle for the town below. While contemplating a stroll and visiting his newly purchased house, he encountered Ashe and Lapis shopping at a general store.

“a, Albero. Is the ceremony over?”

“Yeah. It was a tedious one. . . . . .”

“Fufu, well done. Are you heading back?”

“I was thinking of taking a walk. And maybe visit the new house I bought.”

“”House?””

Their voices overlapped.

Seeing no reason to hide it, Albero talked about buying the house.

The two became instantly intrigued.

“I want to see it!! I want to see Albero’s house!!”

“I want to see it too!!”

“Uh, sure. . . . . .I guess.”

“Great!! Lapis, let’s postpone shopping. We’re going to see Albero’s house!!”

“Yes!!”

“Why are you two so enthusiastic?”

While intrigued, Albero leads the two of them to the property.

Their destination is the district where nobles have their mansions, commonly referred to as the 『Noble District』. Large mansions line the streets, along with high-end shops and auction venues. Incidentally, Lapis’ house was also located here.

In a corner of the Noble District, surrounded by a small grove, stands Albero’s house.

“Wow, it’s close to my house.”

“Is it?”

“Yes. We’re in the same district. . . . . .But I never knew there was a mansion here.”

“I chose a property that isn’t too conspicuous. The land has many trees, and there’s a farm on the premises. The previous owner was into farming, so there’s a well that draws groundwater. And there’s a bath too.”

“A bath?. . . . . .Can I take a bath, Albero?”

Ashe asked hesitantly.

Albero took out a bunch of keys from his pocket and showed them.

“I got them from Yorha. You can use it as you like.”

They opened the gate, and as they walked down the forest path, the mansion came into view.

It was a rather magnificent mansion, and this area was not surrounded by the forest; instead, there was a farm in the garden.

As they stood in front of the house door, it opened. . . . . .revealing three maids and a butler.

“”””Welcome back, Danna-sama(master).””””

“D, Danna-sama? Who? Huh?”

Then, the butler stepped forward and knelt, followed by the three maids who also knelt.

“I am Heimdal, the captain of Yorha’s personal unit 『Alpha One』. By Yorha-sama’s orders, I manage this mansion and will serve as your butler.”

“I’m Johanna from 『Alpha One』, assigned as a maid.”

“Same, I’m Luina.”

“Same, I’m Mine.”

“From now on, we will serve Albero-sama.”

Heimdal and the three maids remained bowed.

Albero, taken by surprise and unsure of how to react, instinctively looked at Lapis.

“Um, could you please stand?”

“Uh, okay. . . . . .Stand.”

“”””Yes!””””

“. . . . . .And act normal.”

“Normal, as in?”

“. . . . . .Um. Ashe, can you handle this?”

“Why me?!”

“Didn’t you study about servants? Teach them some basics.”

“. . . . . .Passing the buck.”

“Please. . . . . .”

“Sigh. . . . . .Alright.”

Clearly, they act more like military subordinates than servants. It’s a bit stiff for Albero’s liking.

Leaving Ashe to handle things, Albero and Lapis took seats on a nearby sofa.

“Sigh. . . . . .It’s always one thing after another.”

“It’s quite challenging for you, Albero.”

“Haha. . . . . .I miss the days when it was just the two of us in the S-class.”

Albero gave a wry smile, watching the butler and maids taking notes and getting guidance from Ashe.
