After the entrance ceremony, Albero and his classmates headed to the F-class classroom located within the school grounds.
As expected, the treatment of the F-class was extremely poor.
Instead of being in the main classroom building, it was a wooden bungalow located next to a storage shed.
Upon seeing the classroom, Ratts laughed scornfully.
ㅤ
“Ha! It’s so blatantly bad that I can’t even be mad.”
ㅤ
Ratts chuckled. Albero opened the nearly broken sliding door and entered the classroom.
It was a terribly run-down classroom.
Dusty, cracked window panes, and worn-out chairs and desks.
Suddenly, one of the girls pushed past Albero and entered the classroom.
ㅤ
“First things first, we clean. Come on, everyone, let’s do this!”
ㅤ
The girl clapped her hands energetically and directed her classmates.
Out of the blue, Ratts, who had been seemingly leading the class, stepped forward.
“Hey, hey, hey! You’re suddenly taking charge. Are you the class representative or something?”
“Hmph! I just spoke my mind after seeing the state of this classroom.”
“Really now? Don’t just suddenly take charge. If you were going to, why didn’t you from the start, like during measurements or role assignments?”
“T, That doesn’t matter! Let’s just clean up before the teacher arrives.”
ㅤ
As the girl and Ratts started to bicker, Albero intervened.
ㅤ
“Alright, enough of that. Let’s just get cleaning.”
“Hey, Albero. About this bossy one. . . . . .”
“Who are you calling bossy?!”
“Enough! Are we cleaning or not? Uh. . . . . .your name?”
“I’m Rachel! The fifth daughter of the Frontier Baron family, Rachel!”
“Alright, let’s have Rachel and Ratts lead the cleaning. Boys follow Ratts, girls follow Rachel. Everyone okay with that?”
“””””No objections!”””””
“Good energy. Alright, Ratts, take it from here.”
“Y, Yeah. . . . . . You’re pretty good, Albero.”
“Hmph. . . . . .Well, whatever. Laby, come here! Assist me!”
ㅤ
Then, a peach-haired girl named Laby moved to Rachel’s side.
She glanced at Albero and quickly looked away.
ㅤ
“Alright, boys! Let’s start by fixing the desks and chairs!”
“Girls! Let’s start with window cleaning, floor sweeping, and spider web removal!”
ㅤ
Without any specific planning, their teamwork was impeccable.
ㅤ

ㅤ
After the cleaning, the classroom somewhat resembled a proper learning environment.
The chairs and desks were still worn out, and the windowpanes had cracks, but they were mended with tape. The floor was cleaned, reducing the dust, making it almost presentable.
The students sat down, waiting for someone to arrive. . . . . .but even after an hour, no one showed up.
An hour and fifteen minutes later. . . . . .a teacher finally arrived.
ㅤ
“Everyone’s here.”
ㅤ
That was his first statement.
Albero, who had been waiting all this time, was understandably upset.
Moreover, the male teacher in front of them had a condescending look in his eyes.
He appeared to be in his mid-twenties, with brown hair slicked back and wearing glasses.
ㅤ
“For now, I’ll teach you F-class students just the basics about being a summoner. Oh, and I have no expectations of you as summoners. Once you’ve learned what you need, graduate and live your lives.”
“””””. . . . . .”””””
“What’s with those eyes? Listen, this is the first lesson. If you want to be treated like proper students, raise the rank of your Summoned beast. Doing so might give you a slightly better environment, and you might learn what you need.”
ㅤ
The male teacher seemed disgusted, perhaps by the air in the classroom.
ㅤ
“Hmm. . . . . .The atmosphere is stagnant. I’ll leave the 『summoner textbook』 here. Classes start tomorrow, so that’s it for today. Oh, I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Oswald, a B-class Summoner. You don’t have to remember that.”
ㅤ
With that said, Oswald left.
Howl, sitting next to Albero, commented.
ㅤ
“Whether you’re a noble or a commoner, for summoners, rank is everything. . . . . .huh.”
“. . . . . .Hmm.”
ㅤ
Albero sighed.
Until graduation, he wondered if he could make it through.
