The conference hall can accommodate over a thousand people and is a special hall located in the basement of the academy. Every meeting held here addresses important matters, and it’s said there’s a function to prevent eavesdropping through the use of summoned beasts.
By the way, students rarely use it. Yorha knew of its existence, but this was her first time entering.

Garnet, who came along, directs everyone to the curved table.

Albero notices Fugil and gives a slight nod, to which Fugil responds with a small nod of his own.
Garnet stands between the A-class and S-class.

“We will now commence the 『demon subjugation』 team’s information-sharing meeting. I’ll say this upfront: if anyone disrupts the meeting with unnecessary remarks or starts needless fights. . . . . .you understand, right?”

Garnet lit a pipe and began to smoke, exhaling smoke.
The exhaled smoke flickered and formed a tiger-like face.

Garnet explains the information provided by the kingdom.
It’s the same information both A-class and S-class had. The destruction of villages and settlements in the territories outside the kingdom. There’s a possibility that an unknown demon is involved. The investigation and the demon’s subjugation.
After covering the basics, Garnet introduces new information.

“Yes. I will be the leader of the squad, and Professor Oswald will be in charge of the guidance.”

“Of course. Esterize-kun has commanded troops in demon beast subjugation several times. Are you suggesting that this makeshift group of S-class take the lead?”
“Who was it that disgracefully lost to this makeshift group? Someone with eyes popped out and a sunken face, perhaps?”

But Oswald contorted his face with a sneer.

“Alright. We’ll entrust the command to the A-class summoner. Is that okay?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I’m not on board with that.”

Kid declined. Albero growled in displeasure.
Ashe, Lapis, Ridelle, and Yorha also looked displeased.
Then, the previously silent Esterize spoke up.

“Albero, do you remember what I said before?”
“. . . . . .What?”
“I will make use of your power.”
ㅤ
Esterize stood up and approached Albero.
She placed a hand on his cheek and brought her face very close to his.
ㅤ
“Serve under me. Then you’ll understand the meaning of your power.”
“. . . . . .”

It was only then that everyone noticed.
Albero and Esterize. They had the same hair color, same eye color, and similar facial features.
Esterize had a look of curiosity on her face, while Albero’s expression was one of emptiness. Even though Esterize, his sister, brought her face close to his, he was completely unfazed.
He dismissively waved her off.

For some reason, Esterize looked triumphant, but Albero didn’t get it at all.

“Alright. The A-class summoner will take command of the troops. We’ll depart in two days. Classes are canceled from tomorrow, so prepare well.”

And with that, the meeting ended.
The command of the troops was decided to be with Esterize and the A-class summoner.
Albero and the other S-class would also serve under Esterize’s command.
