《Momok Side》

The crown prince who banished Kyrie, Momok.

He was blown away by Tyrant Dragon Anila after being poisoned by a bandit. . . . . .

The next day. He was in an inn in a village close to the Abyss Forest.

Momok is frantic.

“Damn it! What should I do!”

It’s no wonder he’s frantic.

He’s backed into a corner.

“If I don’t bring Kyrie back, it’s execution. If I leave it alone, the poison will spread and I’ll die in two days. . . . . .Either way, I’m going to die. . . . . .!!!!!”

If he goes back to his country carelessly, death awaits him, even if he does nothing.

He was trapped.

“If it comes to this. . . . . .by force if I have to, I must bring Kyrie back!”

But the forest where she resides is filled with terrifying monsters.

They were somehow protecting Kyrie.

“To bring Kyrie back, I first need to eliminate these obstructive monsters. What should I do. . . . . .”

He looks out the window.

There are men with swords and women with staff walking around. That is. . . . . .

“Right. . . . . .Adventurers! I’ll hire adventurers!”

One of the main tasks for adventurers is to defeat monsters.

If Kyrie’s underlings are in the way, then the adventurers can take care of them.

Momok decided to act immediately.

He headed to the adventurers’ guild in the village and approached the reception counter.

“Welcome! What brings you to our guild?”

“I want to request a monster extermination.”

“Monster. . . . . .I see. Which kind?”

“Those in the Abyss Forest.”

Suddenly, the expressions of everyone in the place stiffen.

Momok is bewildered by the strange atmosphere.

“We cannot accept that request at this guild.”

“What, what?! You must be joking. . . . . .!”

What does he mean they won’t accept a monster extermination request. . . . . .?

“Don’t worry about the money. There’s plenty at home.”

“No, it’s not a matter of money.”

“Then is it because the monsters of the Abyss Forest are terrifying, and you’re frightened? Ha, what a bunch of cowards. . . . . .urgh!”

A well-built adventurer grabbed Momok by the collar and threw him.

“Mr. Garp, violence is not acceptable.”

The receptionist says so.

But he doesn’t seem very strict.

“W, What the hell. . . . . .?!”

“I’m Garp. An S-rank adventurer.”

“What?! S-rank, you say?!”

S-rank represents the highest level of adventurers.

He shouldn’t be in such a remote place.

Garp glares at the prince as he speaks.

“Defeat the monsters of that forest, you say? Don’t be absurd.”

“I’m not joking! Why can’t we defeat them?!”

“Because we owe them.”

Momok doesn’t know, but Garp was once injured in the forest, and Kyrie helped him.

He usually operates from the Beast Kin nation, but lately, he’s based in this village near the Abyss Forest to see Kyrie.

“The forest creatures are not evil monsters. They chase away terrifying wild animals and repel bandits. Above all, the master of the forest takes good care of us adventurers and the people of this village.”

“The master of the forest. . . . . .Could it be Kyrie?”

“So you know her.”

Know her?

He’s the one who banished her.

“First of all, what do you want to do by defeating the monsters of the Abyss Forest? You’re not a familiar face around here.”

“Ah, no. . . . . .”

He can’t say that he wants to slaughter the forest monsters and then kidnap Kyrie. . . . . .

“Hmm. . . . . .”

But Garp narrows his eyes sharply.

He directs clear hostility and anger towards Momok in front of him.

“Ah, the terrifying witch in that forest. . . . . .Yes! I want to defeat that terrifying witch!”

“. . . . . .”

“Because of that witch, I am cursed to die in two more days. . . . . .Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”

Garp struck Momok’s cheek hard.

Momok fell, and Garp looked down coldly.

“It seems you intend to kidnap Miss Kyrie.”

“What?! How, how do you know that. . . . . .?”

“It’s Miss Kyrie’s power.”

“What?! What does that mean?!”

Garp says, pointing to his own ear.

“I was healed by the miss. Since then, a special power has sprouted within me. Thanks to her.”

“Special power. . . . . .?”

“Yes, the ability to discern lies from people. I heard it. . . . . .your filthy plan.”

Garp’s sharp glare.

Not just Garp, all the adventurers in the guild and the villagers who had come to request were surrounding Momok.

“What, what’s going on?! What are you all doing?!”

“Everyone’s indebted to Miss Kyrie. She heals injuries and illnesses for villagers and adventurers alike, free of charge, as long as she doesn’t harm her monster companions. So we’re grateful, and that’s why. . . . . .Everyone likes Miss Kyrie.”

Unbelievable. . . . . .

“Now, you. . . . . .who are you?”

I can’t possibly admit that I’m the prince who banished Kyrie. . . . . .

“Looks like this is the idiot prince who tormented Miss Kyrie!”

“Da, damn it. . . . . .! I forgot he could read minds. . . . . .Guwaaaaaa!”

Adventurers, villagers, all the gathered people raised their fists at Momok.

“W, Who do you think you’re raising your hands to!”

Crack! Thump!

“S, Stop! Do you know what will happen if you raise your hand to royalty. . . . . .?”

Crush! Crack!

“S, Stop. . . . . .please stop. . . . . .please. . . . . .okay. . . . . .?”

Momok, beaten to a pulp, pleads with tears in his eyes.

But Garp and all the villagers are grateful to the forest monster, and to Kyrie. They like her.

They can’t possibly forgive the one who tried to kill such a person.

Even if he is the prince of the country. . . . . .they won’t.

Eventually, Garp handed the unconscious prince over to the local militia.

He was imprisoned in the dungeon and knocked out for half a day.

. . . . . .He has a day and a half left to live.
