The angel summoned by Kyrie obliterated the base of their arch-enemy, Ouma, in a single strike.

. . . . . .A figure was watching the scene from a distance in the sky above.

“Wow! Incredible! That god candidate is doing well!”

The one watching the summoned angel was a figure who could be seen as either a beautiful girl or a handsome boy.

With long red hair and a medieval-like face.

Above their head was a halo, and from their back sprouted two pairs of white wings.

While they resembled Kyrie’s angel, they seemed to possess a much stronger power.

“Blowing up a mountain, that’s insane! Just like Big Brother!”

The red-haired angel clapped their hands in delight.

“Being able to summon lower-ranking angels to this extent signifies an elevation in divinity, I suppose.”

Divinity, meaning their status as a god.

The strength of a god depends on the number of believers and their faith.

The more believers and stronger prayers you gather, the more your divinity will rise, making you stronger.

“Most likely, by adding Vajra and Makola to her ranks, and by saving Vajra this time, she gained more trust from the believers. As a result, she acquired the ability to summon lower-level angels. Yes, yes, she is steadily ascending the path of god. Being in charge of monitoring the god candidate, I am quite proud.”

The red-haired angel nodded in agreement.

Then. . . . . .

“Michael.”

Another angel appeared, separate from the red-haired angel.

This angel had blue hair and looked somewhat like a young man.

“Oh, Gabriel. What brings you here?”

“. . . . . .Michael. You’re behind this, aren’t you? You caused Kyrie and Hakutaku, the Divine Eye holder, to meet.”

The red-haired angel. . . . . .Michael tilted his head in confusion.

“What are you talking about? As a monitoring angel, I can’t directly interfere with god candidates. Have you forgotten the rules?”

“Indeed, direct interference is not possible. However, how about indirectly conveying the information that Kyrie・Inori is in the Abyss Forest by showing the future that the divine eye of Hakutaku revealed?”

I see, so long as Hakutaku Vajra used her own ability to

to discover Kyrie, it wouldn’t count as direct intervention.

“Well, who knows?”

“You. . . . . .you’re becoming more and more like that fallen angel. . . . . .”

“Don’t lump me together with that former angel.”

Michael stuck out his tongue and spread his wings wide.

“Gabriel, did your god candidate disappear?”

The blue-haired angel Gabriel shook his head.

“Of course not. A god candidate would not die from the power of a mere lower-level angel.”

“But with this incident, your god candidate now fully recognizes Kyrie・Inori as an enemy. The battles will escalate. They might even start fighting each other.”

A god candidate possessing power comparable to Kyrie, capable of blowing away mountains.

If the two were to clash, it’s evident that the world below would be greatly affected.

But Michael laughed delightedly.

“It’s fine. The more the earth is destroyed, the more chances my god candidate gets, and the higher their divinity will rise. It’s what I want.”

“. . . . . .You’ve thought this through, haven’t you?”

“That’s why I said I’m not good at such underhanded schemes. It’s a coincidence.”

Michael flapped his wings and ascended to the heavens.

The remaining angel, Gabriel, looked at the fallen Kyrie Inori and spoke.

“That’s one of the god candidates closest to godliness this time. . . . . .But after all, she’s just a fledgling who’s newly awakened.”

Snorting, Gabriel stated.

“My god candidate. . . . . .Ouma will absolutely not lose. Absolutely not.”
