With Errant’s scream, the cave shakes violently.

“This is. . . not good!”

“Errant! What have you done!”

Kiel lunges at Errant.

She grabs him by the collar and slams him onto the altar.

“Do you realize what you’ve done! If the divine beast awakens, this island will easily be destroyed!”

“Let it be destroyed, this island is nothing.”

But Errant just smiles faintly.

“Kiel, it’s your fault. If you had accepted me, this wouldn’t have happened.”

“Errant. . . you. . .”

“Move aside, even you as a shrine maiden can’t stop this now.”

Errant roughly pushes Kiel aside and staggers to his feet.

“Really, everyone. . . is getting in my way.”

Errant mutters to himself as he stares into the void.

The vibration shaking the cave continues.

“No one on this island, no one on the mainland understands my worth. . . If they had given me a position worthy of me, this island could have been more prosperous. . . It’s because they didn’t understand that I had to do this. This is the choice everyone on this island made.”

Ripples spread widely on the surface of the lake.

“Kiel! Get away from the lake now!”

Luke starts running, shouting.

“If they won’t recognize me, then this island should just disappear!!”

The surface of the lake rises dramatically and then explodes, sending up a huge spray of water.

“Dangerous!”

At the same time as Luke dives sideways holding Kiel, a huge arm that jumped out of the water wraps around Errant.

Errant is swallowed up by the water before he can say a word.

“Errant!”

“Run! This place won’t hold!”

Luke starts running with Kiel still in his arms.

Alma, who has picked up Tyra, follows.

The vibration attacking the cave is now so large that it’s hard to stand.

Large rocks fall from the ceiling.

“Aah!”

When he turns around at the scream, Alma is being wrapped up by a huge arm.

“Alma!”

“Luke! Please take care of this child!”

At the same time as Alma throws Tyra to Luke, Alma is wrapped in armor.

“Noooooooo!!”

Alma, who is resisting the huge arm with all her might, is slowly being dragged into the back of the cave, even with the power of the Demonstration Armor.

“Alma! Disengage the armor!”

The moment the Demonstration Armor is disengaged, the grip of the arm loosens.

“Thunderbolt!”

Luke, who saved Alma in that gap, fires magic at the arm.

“Collapse!”

Luke blocks the cave with earth magic while the arm flinches from the thunderbolt.

“Let’s get out of here while we can!”

The four of them start running towards the exit of the cave.

As soon as Luke and the other three jumped out of the cave, a massive earthquake struck the island.

The cave collapsed right behind them.

“T, That was close.”

“It’s too early to relax! Let’s get away from here quickly!”

Luke hurriedly ran down the mountain, urging the other three to follow.

The shaking beneath their feet was getting worse.

“Luke! Look at that!”

When Luke turned around at Alma’s scream, he saw the side of the mountain collapsing with a loud noise.

A cloud of dust was about to cover the entire mountain.

And something was wriggling inside it.

“W, What is that?!”

The thing wriggling in the dust cloud, like a fog, was a number of arms writhing like snakes.

“That’s. . . a divine beast.”

Luke swallowed hard as he watched it.

The divine beast was about to reveal itself, breaking the mountain.

Its body, carrying the surface of the earth with trees still growing on it, looked like a moving mountain.

Underneath it, arms as thick as towers were writhing.

The eyes between the body and the arms were clouded black, as if devoid of any emotion.

The mythical sea monster was right in front of them.

“That’s. . . the divine beast Kraken.”

The Kranken clan, who had come to check out the commotion, were also paralyzed by its majesty and couldn’t move.

Kraken’s body shook violently.

“This is bad!”

Sensing danger, Luke deployed a defensive magic.

Kraken’s arm, mowing down the trees in the forest, attacked Luke and the others.

“Guhhh!!”

The multi-layered defensive magic was shattered like thin ice.

He barely managed to hold it back, but it was all he could do to defend against just one arm.

Another arm was coming down over Luke, who couldn’t move.

“Kuooooo!!!”

Alma, clad in Demonstration Armor, caught the arm.

Alma’s feet were buried in the ground up to her knees.

“Alma! Are you okay?!”

“Kuuuuu. . . S, Somehow!”

Alma was barely holding on, about to collapse.

They could see another arm being raised.

The arm was swung down, making a dull sound as it cut through the air.

“Uwaaaaaah!”

Just when they had given up and were about to brace themselves, the arm above Luke’s head was cut in half.

“Nna?!”

“Well, well, I was enjoying my quiet retirement, but a big one showed up.”

A figure with a sword was standing on the severed arm.

It was Cyphos Sparsa, once known as the Sword Saint, now Gale’s master.
