The Chronicle of the Dungeon Master of Slaughter – A Reclusive Beautiful Girl Became a Dungeon Master, So She Pursues the Path of a Hikikomori – Chapter 94

“I’m off then. I’ll leave the place in your care.”

“Understood!”

Bidding farewell to several soldiers, the commander, accompanied by an escort, boards a carriage.

Among this escort, an automata has quietly infiltrated.

The other escorts, all under the control of training, have no suspicion.

In the three days leading up to departure, the evil hand of training had spread to ten percent of all the fort’s soldiers.

This achievement in just three days is amazing.

A summons from the commander → kidnapping via teleportation by the zombie-sensei → lynching in the mid-boss room.

This perfect crime worked out too well.

And since the trained ones are forced to behave as usual, no one suspects anything.

I must say, I have come up with a terrifying combo.

And so, the party led by the commander (actually, by me) departs from the fort.

We are heading for the capital of this country to report the details of this battle to the commander’s superiors.

Of course, that’s just a pretext.

Normally, I don’t think the commander himself would go to such a report.

However, I wrote in the letter that this detailed report was extremely important and the current commander was seriously injured and unable to fight, which served as a nice excuse.

In other words, it’s an excuse to get checked by a high-level healing magician in the capital while reporting.

Of course, this is also just a pretext.

The reality is that it’s my scheme to meet the top brass of the country easily if I go with the commander.

And so, our party is slowly making its way to the capital, swaying in the carriage.

There was an option to send us via the zombie-sensei’s teleportation, but that was ruled out as it would make the movement unnaturally quick and arouse suspicion.

Besides, I don’t want to show too much of my hand to them, in case the effect of training suddenly wears off.

For the same reason, I summoned the hot-blooded zombie and the immortal zombie as a measure against the sudden disappearance of the training effect and had them guard the Automata.

These zombies, in terms of status, are disposable, so I plan to use them aggressively even outside.

Well, if you’re swaying in a carriage like that, you’ll have time to kill.

So, I decided to report to the Demon Lord, which I had been putting off, in my spare time.

I open the monitor in the Demon Lord’s communication room after a long time, activate the Mamori-chan doll, and talk to the Chaos-chan doll placed on the mini-throne.

“Demon Lord-sama, I have a report.”

“Hmm, Mamori? What is it? I’m busy now, so I’d like you to be brief.”

She’s busy.

That’s convenient.

She won’t pry too much.

“Then, I will report briefly.

The other day, the hero appeared at the border fortress of the Republic of Awaldia  and clashed with the invading Demon Lord’s army.

In that battle, it seems that Draglight-san was slain.”

“. . . Sorry, could you say that again?”

“The other day, the hero appeared at the border fortress of the Republic of Awaldia  and clashed with the invading Demon Lord’s army.

In that battle, it seems that Draglight-san was slain.”

“. . . Seriously?”

“Seriously.”

The Chaos-chan doll held its head in its hands.

On the other hand, I, who was conveying this, was also quite nervous inside.

I can’t let her realize that I am the culprit who killed the dragon.

I should move the conversation along quickly.

“Perhaps, the hero is still staying at the border fortress, but what will you do?”

“What to do… hmm… well…

I’d like to go there myself, but I’m currently occupied with conquering another country.

Even if I were to send other executives, Draglight was the strongest in terms of status among them.

That being said, it’s clear that the hero who defeated him won’t be defeated by any of our nearby executives… Mamori, do you have any good plans?”

Don’t rely on me all of a sudden, you useless boss.

That’s what they call unreasonable in the general world.

Well, I’m competent enough to handle your unreasonable demands.

There’s a strategy I’m working on.

Since it would be problematic if the topic of dragons came up, let’s talk about it quickly.

“For the record, I have a plan to bring down the country I’m currently handling.

With a little adjustment, it might be possible to strike the hero.”

“Really?”

“Yes… But, it will probably be difficult to kill him for sure.”

For the time being, I should factor in the possibility of failure and ensure that my statements are cautious.

In reality, the likelihood of killing Shindou with this strategy is by no means high.

Even if everything goes smoothly, I think the chances of successful assassination are not even 50%.

Well, even if I can’t kill Shindou, the fortress will fall.

“Well, it can’t be helped. If it were that easy to kill the hero, we wouldn’t be having trouble.

… Looking at it this way, it’s a real shame that we let him escape before.

Damn you, Warlock.”

Honestly, I think the last incident was partially the Demon Lord’s fault.

But I won’t say that out loud.

“Then, for now, let’s proceed with Mamori’s plan. I will give you the authority to command the Demon Army in the vicinity. There should be some forces remaining in the town near the border.

You can collect them and use them as you like.”

“Understood.”

But still, how does she plan to convey orders to the monsters outside of the dungeon region by granting me command authority?

Ah, no, perhaps there’s a Chaos-chan doll in the town near the border?

That’s possible.

I should check if I get a chance, since that town near the border is probably the one I went to on my scouting mission.

Well, I don’t know if the monsters there will be of any use though.

“Also, I can help a little if needed, is there anything else you need?”

“If you have any forces that can fight the hero even a little, please lend them to me. I can’t guarantee their safety, though.”

“That’s quite a demand… but alright. I will send a few executives who are available. You can meet them in the town near the border.”

“Thank you.”

I said it on a whim, but surprisingly, she agreed.

It’s worth a try.

Still, a few executives, huh…

If possible, I’d like to turn them into zombies after throwing them at the hero.

But since it would be bad if I was discovered again, I’ll keep that as a last resort.

“Is there anything else?”

“No, not in particular.”

“I see. Then, good luck!”

With that, the Chaos-chan doll fell silent.

…For now, I’m glad the topic of the dragon didn’t come up.

Relieved by this fact, I quietly let out a sigh.

  1. The demon lord is quite naive isn’t she?

Well can’t blame her though, she already has tons of responsibilities, and she didn’t even know that Mamori is a hero either, she only knew the doll and the dungeon master status. Plus Mamori’s mentally is abnormal, but is quite sharp.
