The carriage Marie was controlling has stopped.

The horses are trying to move forward, but something is blocking their path.

『It feels like we’re being obstructed by something invisible. . . . . .What do you want to do, Witch-sama?』

Marie recasts the enhancement magic on the carriage.
The newly-empowered carriage. . . . . .
With a thunderous “BANG!” it breaks through whatever invisible thing was in the way.

An irritated Marie extends her hand outside the window.

The carriage speeds off, faster than before, like a spear at hyper-speed.

Ose looks behind them.
Flat-shaped monsters lay by the roadside, charred and fallen.

“According to the memory I read from Raiju, they seem to be monsters indigenous to the Far East, called Youkai.”
『Youkai?!』
“Yes. Apparently, one of them is as strong as an ancient dragon.”
『You just took down a bunch of them though?!』
“Ah, yeah.”

No matter how strong the opponent, it doesn’t matter to Marie.
Defeating an inedible foe is simply uninteresting to her.
