The Winchester V10 could also be equipped with a bayonet, but the problem was that Oswald didn’t know much about bayonet fighting.

‘𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘺 . . . . . . .’

On a whim, he quickly checked the Fate Shop . . . . . . .

‘𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵.’

Oswald immediately purchased ‘Bayonet Basics’ and used 90P to upgrade Bayonet Basics to Bayonet Fundamentals.

He then took out the Aizena V10 broadsword, which had been resting in his magic backpack, and equipped it. The broadsword, named after his mother, Aizena, was a broadsword made for the Winchester V10.

“Whew . . . . . . . ”

He caught his breath and relaxed his muscles, which had been tensed up from the intense situation. If he fought while he was too tense, he would get tired more easily.

Oswald knew this too, thanks to the incredibly well-made virtual reality game 「Final Chapter」. The player’s fatigue level was determined by their senses, and their physical condition also changed according to their mood.

Soon, as the sound of his opponent’s footsteps approached, Oswald struck first.

“Haaap!”

With a battle cry, Oswald struck quickly, and then pulled the trigger on the Winchester V10 that was hanging at his waist, firing a shotgun shell that took care of the revolutionary in front of him.

Another revolutionary who spotted him then tried to use his revolver, but before he knew it, Oswald had rushed over and stabbed him in the neck with his broadsword, severing his windpipe.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The enemies behind him fired their revolvers in an attempt to hold him back . . . but Oswald used the body of the revolutionary impaled on his broadsword as a shield, took out his shotgun shells, and loaded regular bullets.

He then kicked away the body that had been serving as his shield, quickly aimed, and fired.

Bang!!

Shuaak. Puf!

Thanks to his high shooting level, the bullet hit the target’s head in one shot. Then Oswald pushed the lever to reload and pulled the trigger again, sniping the enemy behind him.

Just as he was about to fire another sniper shot!

“Uwaaaaah!”

A man with a large shield charged at him with a battle cry.

Bang!!

Teureung!

The bullet seemed to bounce off the shield, which was made of steel.

“Tsk.”

He would need to use armor-piercing bullets or magic bullets, but . . . he didn’t have any armor-piercing bullets, and he only had four magic bullets left. All of them were explosives. . . . . .

The problem was that it would be a huge waste to use a magic bullet to take down that one shield-bearer.

“Phew . . . . . . . ”

Oswald caught his breath again and lowered his stance. He then charged straight at the enemy and rolled forward. He quickly slipped under the enemy’s shield and fired from a sitting position, aiming at the back of the shield-bearer.

Bang!

“Keuheueuek!”

“Is it mostly cleaned up?”

He didn’t know how many more revolutionaries were left . . . but there couldn’t be more than this.

Oswald finally reached the dining car, which was fortunately quiet. There were no employees or cooks to be seen, as they had probably been dragged to the 3rd class carriage . . . . . . .

Soon, Oswald passed through the dining car and entered the 3rd class passenger carriage. It was a chaotic mess, and there were no people to be seen.

Then a woman came over from the other side of the carriage. She spotted Oswald and shouted for him to save her, saying that there were bad guys behind her. . . but something felt off.

The sense he had developed after reaching level 10 kept warning him that he should shoot the woman, and Oswald immediately raised his gun and aimed it at her.

“W . . . why are you doing this?”

The woman in front of him was far from reacting like an ordinary woman, even though she was facing the muzzle of a gun.

He immediately pulled the trigger, and the woman quickly dodged to the left.

Taang!

The woman had avoided Oswald’s attack by moving as soon as she saw him about to pull the trigger.

“Tsk, how did you notice?”

Oswald didn’t feel the need to answer her question, so he reloaded and pressed her with gunfire. The woman responded in turn.

“Fireball!”

Shuaak. Kwaang!

‘𝘖𝘩, 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘢 𝘸𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥?’

Oswald quickly jumped out of the way to avoid the fireball.

Fireballs, while not as strong as explosions, had a powerful blast. If he had just sat there and taken it, he could have died. In fact, the Explosion magic bullets had a lower magic power than regular bullets, so they could be considered a weakened version of Explosion.

The original Explosion magic bullets were made with magic stones, so each one was worth almost 10 Gold. That’s why he had to somehow take care of this mage with regular bullets.

‘𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦-𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘵 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘵 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘴 . . . 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘴.’

Since wizards didn’t have unlimited magic power, Oswald had a chance of winning if he thought of this as a battle of attrition.

“You imperialist fascist bastards! Magic Missile!”

Shuaak! Shuaak! Shuaak!

Three Magic Missiles were created in the air and flew towards Oswald. Unlike Fireball, which was a targeting spell, Magic Missiles followed their target until they hit.

Oswald fired a bullet at one of the incoming Magic Missiles.

Taang!

The bullet and Magic Missile collided with a bang and exploded.

Kwaang!

It was a pitiful explosion compared to a Fireball . . . but it was powerful enough to cause significant damage to a person.

He blocked the next incoming Magic Missile with a bed that he kicked up with his foot.

Puerreung!

The bed exploded, and Oswald lowered his stance and pulled the trigger at the remaining Magic Missile.

Taang! Puerreung!

‘𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨. . .’

Thanks to composure, he was able to think rationally, and with Judgment Lv.10, he was able to come up with the most optimal outcome. He was really reaping the benefits of his Fate Points.

‘𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺, 𝘪𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 . . . . . . .’

“You’re no ordinary person! Are you one of Hecaton’s hunting dogs?”

Hecaton.

It was the name of the Imperial Intelligence Agency, which was responsible for the Empire’s counterintelligence. The organization was named after the demigod Hecaton, who had fifty heads, one hundred eyes, one hundred ears, and one hundred hands.

“Hecaton is . . . . . . . I’m just an academy student who was passing by.”

“What? An academy student without any magic power? That’s ridiculous!”

“ . . . . . . . ”

It was a moment when he felt a strong sense of being looked down upon.
