The letter handed over by Caroline contained a description and a portrait of the man, along with a brief history.

The man’s name was Maurice Maigret. He was tall with wavy black hair, a man of handsome appearance.

The third son of the Maigret Marquis family, he was devoted to the former Empress. After her demise, he ceased to appear in public. When asked about his whereabouts, the family said he was disowned.

His whereabouts, alive or dead, were unknown. This time, his survival was confirmed by Caroline.

“. . .Miss Caroline has, this to. . .”

Suddenly presented with the sought-after information, Roa-sama seemed a bit confused.

“According to the information from Miss Caroline, there is a possibility that Maurice Maigret is developing poison.”

“That’s amazing, Alice! It’s thanks to you!”

“I appreciate you saying that. I hadn’t been able to be of any help until now. . .”

“What are you talking about! You made friends with Caroline and provided information, got to know Marina and told us about the poison, Thor identified the components of the poison, and you immediately became wary of the merchant’s misdeeds and recognized him as Dyson’s henchman just by seeing his face, all thanks to Alice!”

“When you put it that way, I do feel like I’ve been of some use.”

Everyone nods in agreement, their consideration heartwarming.

“Half of it is due to Thor’s obsession, though.”

“The way Thor handles that obsession is admirable. I certainly couldn’t do it.”

Edgardo says so, but I think he’s not far behind, given he’s always with Rolf, who seems to have quite an intense love.

Perhaps Edgardo is just naturally so, unaware of it.

While waiting for Roa-sama to contact her brother, I decided to prepare lightly.

If it’s soon, today might be goodbye to this school.

I don’t know if I will go with them, but either way, my role here is over.

. . .I’ve been wearing this bodysuit every day, but I wonder if I should return it. . . Returning it, Chris might just be troubled.

As everyone moved about in a heartwarming atmosphere, the door opened, and Roa-sama came out. Everyone stopped sharply and waited for Roa-sama’s words.

“My brother has given permission to capture Maurice. Everyone, please prepare.”

“Understood.”

Arthur, representing everyone, answers elegantly.

“Before that, we have been given permission to capture that merchant and do as we please, as long as it’s not fatal. We’ll launch a surprise attack and capture him once the antidote to the deadly poison from the collar of submission arrives. After that, we’ll use the antidote as leverage and turn him into a pawn to extract information from Dyson.”

“A double agent, indeed. Such a merchant, when his own life is at stake, will work desperately. They cherish their own life above all else.”

“I hope that’s the case.”

Everyone’s eyes are slightly frightening. That merchant might end up with a limb or two mangled.

Hmm. . . well, it can’t be helped, he has done enough to deserve it.

“My brother has arranged for the antidote to arrive as soon as it’s ready. It will be here soon. Be especially careful when opening the door.”

With Roa-sama’s words as the signal, everyone started discussing their plans. I, who was left out of the circle, decided to prepare for the skewered party I had given up on the other day.

 ㅤ

First, let’s start with everyone’s favorite beef. I’ll ask Prep-kun to cut various parts of beef into bite-sized pieces. If you also ask him to skewer them, voila, what a wonder!

Just by putting the ingredients into Prep-kun, out come the breaded skewers, breadcrumbs and all!

Next, the shrimp, which are not an exaggeration to call the main attraction of the skewers! Since there were no cute-sized shrimp, we went with ones that would be considered large even for shrimp tempura.

Unfortunately, there’s no red ginger, so I’ve decided to substitute with various types of tangy pickles. I’ve heard of fried pickles, so it must be something similar.

Pork loin, onions, cheese, asparagus, and zucchini are prepared, and for Edgardo, sweetened and rounded steamed pumpkin is also ready. Scallops, cherry tomatoes, and lotus root are in abundance too.

With so many vegetables and meats, it’s easy to make too much, but I’m sure everyone will polish it off.

When I said I wanted a large number of skewers, Chris gave me a very skeptical look, but I’ll be happy if he understands the deliciousness of skewered food after eating this.

“For dessert, I’ll have Prep-kun cut some refreshing fruits to cleanse the palate. . . Hmm, maybe I should prepare sherbet or something as well. Arthur-sama will definitely want it.”

I’ll have Cooker-kun make sherbet, sorbet, and choux cream for Edgardo.

After finishing up to just before frying, I peek into the lounge and see everyone tensely staring at the door.

Rene gestures to me upon noticing, and I quietly return to the kitchen.

In the midst of my anxiety, where I can almost hear my own breathing, the door quietly opens.

“Shiro. . .!”

Unable to hold back, I sneak a peek at Roa-sama’s voice.

There was Shiro, looking well, and a person wearing a hood.
