I Don’t Care About Being Liked by the Capture Targets. I Will Be Myself and Free! – Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Spring at the Age of 11 (Part – 6)

“Hey, you! You’re awfully rude for a commoner. Act like a commoner and kneel down to beg.”

“Hmm, as expected of the royal palace. I thought there would only be arrogant people here, but even a squealing monkey is acting high and mighty.”

“What?! Who are you calling a monkey?!”

Roland smirked at Gideon, whose face turned bright red.

It was clearly a condescending smile.

(If this continues, it might turn into a fight. . .)

Since Steed hasn’t heard the conversation from here on out, it’s unclear what will happen.

Looking at Steed, he had a bewildered expression.

(That’s not acting. But why? Doesn’t Steed know what’s going to happen?)

While still having doubts, the verbal exchange between Gideon and Roland continued.

“Didn’t you understand the explanation earlier? Or are you a bird-brain who forgets what he heard after just a few steps? Choose between being a monkey or a bird.”

“Don’t mess with me! I’m neither a monkey nor a bird!”

“Shall I explain it to you again for that bird-brain of yours?”

“Hey, listen to me, damn it!”

Gideon is completely being manipulated by Roland.

Roland continues to provoke him with a relaxed attitude, but Gideon looks pitifully desperate.

He carefully chooses his words to make the other person irritated.

It even feels like he mercilessly attacks that spot after calmly seeing through it.

“Unfortunately, I have the same royal blood as you guys. That’s why I’m no longer a commoner. But being a commoner is much better than being a part of the foolish royal family.”

“Shut up!”

As if not accepting such words, Gideon interrupts Roland.

“Half of our blood is from the royal family? Hah, that’s ridiculous. The noble blood flowing in our bodies is not a mixture of anything. The other half of your blood flowing in your body is probably from some lowly woman!”

At that moment, Roland’s smile disappeared for the first time.

Gideon must have been pleased with that.

Gideon takes the opportunity to make a fuss.

“Your mother probably approached His Majesty the King for money! Such a shameless woman deserved to be punished and die!”

Roland, who was thought to be provoked, said nothing.

He just remained silent with a blank expression.

Gideon quickly opened his mouth.

“W-What’s your problem? If you have something to say, say it!”

“Don’t you realize that your words just insulted the king?”

“Huh. . .?”

“The king was deceived by a woman for money and even had a child. This is a serious insult.”

“. . .!! Shut up!! You idiot!! Hey, Steed! This guy is being insolent! Do something about it!”

“No, Gideon. I think you are completely at fault for what you just said.”

Steed says calmly but firmly.

After Gideon shuddered and glared at Roland with frustration.

(Oh my, things are getting really interesting. . .)

Forgetting why she was hiding here, she listens in with complete curiosity.

As Steed said, Gideon is in the wrong.

He’s really childish, acting like that.

On the other hand, Roland can be said to have defeated his opponent quite calmly.

Pointing out the insult to the king, you honestly couldn’t help but be impressed.

That’s because it’s the worst point for Gideon, who is a noble.

“Who would willingly associate with someone like you? Just because you’re called a fellow student doesn’t mean I acknowledge it!”

“You’re the one I should be avoiding. It doesn’t seem like I’ll learn anything by being around you. Oh, could you teach me monkey language?”

“What did you say?!”

“Fufufu. . .”

Chloe couldn’t help but burst out laughing while hiding in the shadow of the grass.

She quickly covered her mouth with her hand, but her grin wouldn’t go away.

(Roland really is a great villain! He has potential. Just defeat Gideon like that!)

She pumps her fist and mouths words of encouragement to Roland.

If Steed were there, he would probably praise her, saying “You look so cute with your eyes sparkling mischievously. If those eyes were looking at me, I wouldn’t ask for anything else. But there’s nothing better than this. You’re my princess,” as Chloe currently has a lovely smile on her face.

As Chloe became more excited and leaned forward. . .

“Ah, ah, whoa?!”

She lost her balance and fell forward into the hedge, then rolled over and ended up in front of the boys.
