Despite successfully luring the enemy aircraft, Chihaya’s job doesn’t seem to be over.

Having to fend off two aircraft with an antique all-rounder, the All-Rounder while shielding the Jackalope that can’t fight seems impossible.

“It’s obviously impossible,” Chihaya was hesitant.

Reading Chihaya’s backward-leaning posture, the All-Rounder retreated.

The Jackalope also moved back as the All-Rounder retreated, and the Keeper faced the battlefield back-to-back, ready to intercept the hafurondis.

“Hey, don’t come too close.”

Complaints came, and Chihaya teared up.

“S, Sorry, I’m sorry.”

Feeling guilty for interrupting the battle, Chihaya looked at the monitors to see if She could somehow cover it up.

What caught her eye was the dead body of a giant crocodile-like creature called hafurondis. It seemed to have been killed by the Psycholon’s counterattack as it tried to ambush the Jackalope from behind, bypassing the Keeper.

There were gunshot wounds in several places on its body, not its hard head. The extremely tough scales of the hafurondis could deflect bullets even at close range, naturally leading to close combat.

Given such a battlefield, Chihaya’s movement must have been quite annoying.

While suffering intense stomach pain, Chihaya lifted the dead body of the hafurondis with the All-Rounder.

As expected of a construction machine, the All-Rounder easily lifted the massive hafurondis with one hand.

The Jackalope warned.

“Enemy, 700 meters away. Soon within range.”

“Fu-hehe.”

It was do or die now. If the mecha got damaged, Chihaya would have to prepare for a loss, and the tension increased even more.

Chihaya’s All-Rounder ran towards the enemy, holding up the hafurondis’s dead body as a shield.

The Jackalope stayed near the Keeper to avoid combat.

The camouflaged drone approached, visible through the gaps in the trees. It was a speed-specialized machine called Leaf Sprinter, with characteristic spring legs. The Conductor, providing support with drones, could also be seen in the background.

The Leaf Sprinter aimed its handgun, Rock Driller, firing at Chihaya’s All-Rounder as it ran, closing the distance.

It seemed to want to forcibly retreat the All-Rounder, intending to trap it between the hafurondis flock and itself to overturn the numerical disadvantage.

As the distance closed, piercing bullets that had gone through the hafurondis’s body hit the All-Rounder’s armor.

Fearing that a bullet would penetrate the armor, Chihaya operated the All-Rounder, shooting a submachine gun with one hand. Unable to aim properly with one hand, the Leaf Sprinter kept closing the distance without concern.

The Leaf Sprinter, now close enough that any shot would hit, kept advancing. Chihaya, abandoning the dead hafurondis body that served as a shield, retreated.

The Leaf Sprinter probably assumed that the shield was discarded because piercing bullets could go through it.

Ignoring the gun-wielding Leaf Sprinter coming to finish her off, Chihaya slid the All-Rounder behind a large tree nearby.

Naturally, the Leaf Sprinter followed, and the moment it advanced near the dead hafurondis— the corpse exploded.

The blast from the close-range explosion blew off the Leaf Sprinter’s fragile spring legs.

“You put a grenade in the carcass?!”

The jackalope Actor is shocked and simultaneously repulsed by the gruesomeness.

But Chihaya doesn’t hear it.

Because the battle is not over yet.

Chihaya’s All-Rounder, leaping from behind the trees, drives a wire anchor into the wreckage of the Leaf Sprinter as it passes by, and rushes towards the remaining enemy machines.

The enemy machine’s Conductor, which has no direct combat ability, turns its back in panic, using a drone as a shield.

The game was over when the Leaf Sprinter was taken down. It’s only natural to retreat and preserve the machine.

At least, Chihaya would retreat.

That’s why she read the Conductor’s movements.

The All-Rounder is faster than the Lannoid-type Conductor.

Chihaya operates the wire anchor winding machine, accelerates, and hurls the remains of the Leaf Sprinter, which had been accelerated, onto the back of the Conductor.

The large drone, which had been firing its attached gun wildly as a shield, is kicked down by the wreckage of the Leaf Sprinter and crashes.

Chihaya’s All-Rounder charges into the Conductor with the momentum of its run and knocks it to the ground.

“. . . . . .Fu-hehehe.”

Thump, Chihaya’s All-Rounder steps on the Conductor’s shoulders with its mechanical legs.

The crouched All-Rounder grabs the Conductor’s back armor with both hands and cracks it open.

The Conductor’s internal circuitry and components are exposed to the light of day.

Chihaya’s All-Rounder snatches the Conductor’s black box while ripping the cords apart, rendering it incapacitated.

Laughing creepily from the tension.

“Fu-hehehe, I won. . . . . . Fu-he.”

Without the luxury to think about what the surroundings, who were listening through voice chat, might think. . . . . .
