Ch 261: Ding Kong Arrives
Three years ago, I gained the title of Sword Demon.
This led many to believe I excelled with swords.
But I truly cannot use a sword.
Although the Longevity Temple does possess some sword techniques, Li Hanzhou never cultivated any swordplay.
“Old Master Qin is indeed erudite,” Li Hanzhou complimented.
“Brother Li already knows my true identity, so there’s no need to call me Qin Guan anymore,” Dao Canggu said at this moment. “Qin Guan was merely a name I used before.”
“I’ve come today to apologize to Brother Li, for keeping it from you for so long.”
Dao Canggu’s apology was sincere.
“It’s alright.”
“That’s just how Jianghu is.”
Li Hanzhou didn’t mind.
Emperor Yu Yang wanted to find a State Preceptor, and also planned to kill Chu Shenqiao of Yunhuang, which required an unexpected person.
And Dao Canggu was naturally the best choice.
He didn’t belong to the Dragon Court, nor did he exist in Jianghu.
Such a person would not attract attention, nor would he attract the attention of Yunhuang.
He was the most suitable candidate.
Not only could he help Emperor Yu Yang assess Li Hanzhou and the Longevity Temple, but he could also disappear from Jianghu and prepare to deal with Yunhuang.
Li Hanzhou also realized that the reason Emperor Yu Yang had the infamous Blood Sacrifice Pavilion suddenly attack Yunhuang was because the Emperor was about to make a major move.
He was worried that Yunhuang would interfere, so he removed the obstacle beforehand.
But he wasn’t concerned about what Emperor Yu Yang’s major move was.
It didn’t concern him.
After chatting with Dao Canggu for a while, Dao Canggu left.
Li Hanzhou then entered the Divine Dynasty Tower.
The vast Divine Dynasty Tower was six stories tall.
Li Hanzhou discovered that the Divine Dynasty Tower contained many strange things, likely left behind by previous State Preceptors.
There were even alchemy furnaces.
And some tools that even Li Hanzhou couldn’t identify.
It seems every State Preceptor has their own interests and hobbies.
Li Hanzhou walked and observed, until reaching the Sixth Floor, where he found many boxes.
He went over and opened the boxes.
The contents startled Li Hanzhou.
They were all materials; yellowed sheets of paper, each seeming torn from a book, filling six or seven large boxes.
Picking up a sheet, Li Qingfeng’s name immediately caught his eye.
“It was indeed the Emperor’s doing.”
Li Hanzhou picked up several more sheets and, sure enough, they all concerned Li Qingfeng.
Even mentions of Li Qingfeng’s name were torn out.
Seeing so many materials, Li Hanzhou pulled out a chair, sat down, and quietly looked through them.
He wanted to learn more about Li Qingfeng, to find clues, and uncover the hidden secrets.
Li Hanzhou spent several days reading, even unaware when Emperor Yu Yang sent someone to deliver the materials for refining the Space-Time World Bead.
Longevity Temple.
After several days of rest, Su Nianyi’s injuries had mostly healed. Combined with the Longevity Temple’s good food, Su Nianyi was in good spirits.
She claimed to be recuperating, but it looked more like a vacation.
It made Li Hanzhou want to charge her.
Surprisingly, Su Nianyi started teaching sword Dao classes to the Longevity Temple’s disciples.
This greatly benefited the disciples cultivating sword techniques.
After all, Su Nianyi was a genuine Sword Immortal; her sword cultivation experience was unmatched.
Seeing this, Li Hanzhou felt too embarrassed to charge her.
The Longevity Temple disciples deeply respected Su Nianyi.
Later, even disciples who didn’t cultivate sword techniques came to listen, as hearing a Sword Immortal lecture was a rare opportunity.
“That’s all for today.”
Su Nianyi finished her lecture, looking at the disciples, captivated, feeling quite satisfied.
The Longevity Temple disciples possessed excellent comprehension.
Teaching them was easier.
Calculating the days, she should leave.
Her recent lectures were her way of repaying Li Hanzhou for saving her.
But at that moment, Su Nianyi’s gaze turned towards the Mountain Gate.
“Whoosh!”
A figure appeared from beyond the Mountain Gate, their lightness skill so swift that the disciples guarding the gate hadn’t noticed.
They only sensed a figure flying in, but were powerless to stop them.
“Trespassing the Mountain Gate?”
Su Nianyi frowned. Who was it?
The moment the figure entered the Longevity Temple, a thundercloud instantly gathered above.
A dark thundercloud, with silver snakes writhing within, instantly darkened the sky above the Longevity Temple.
“What’s going on?”
The Longevity Temple disciples looked up at the sky, curious why it had suddenly turned dark.
Li Hanzhou, reading in his small courtyard, also looked up.
“Someone trespassing?”
This was the Heavenly Gang Five Thunders Formation Li Hanzhou had previously set up in the Longevity Temple; if someone with strong strength trespassed, the formation would activate.
This scene shook the entire Longevity Temple.
“Hmm?”
At that moment, the figure, having just entered the Longevity Temple, also sensed something was wrong. Looking up, feeling the power containing the might of Heaven and Earth, a look of shock appeared on his face.
He hadn’t expected such a terrifying formation to be hidden within a small Longevity Temple.
Lightning arcs appeared on his body, the power from the thundercloud about to be drawn down.
“Boom!”
Before he could react, a terrifying thunderclap descended!
“Buddhist Golden Bell!”
With a Buddhist chant, a golden bell enveloped him.
The thunder struck the bell.
With a loud bang, the figure was sent crashing to the ground from mid-air.
The ground’s stone slabs shattered.
Yet, the figure remained standing, still wearing a Kasaya.
“I am…”
Before he could speak, the Heavenly Gang Five Thunders Formation unleashed a downpour of thunder.
Countless thunderbolts descended like the end of the world.
His expression changed drastically.
The Buddha’s Light shone brilliantly around him; with his True Qi, a Buddha figure appeared behind him, countless Seal-like strikes blasting towards the sky!
It was the Thousand-Hand Tathagata Great Zen Art.
However, it was only the first level.
Compared to Yun Qianzhu, he was vastly inferior.
Under the countless thunderbolts, the ground’s flagstones were shattered.
The area looked like it had been bombed, with smoke and dust everywhere, and the sound was deafening.
Dingkong’s battered figure was covered in dust and dirt.
