Siwoo’s appearance was enough to be surprising.
The earthen dragon scales that sprouted on his forearms and the cerulean dragon scales that protruded from his shoulders exuded an aura that made it difficult to approach him rashly just by their appearance alone.
“Master. . .?”
Namir called out to Siwoo with a look of great surprise.
“It seems I’m not too late.”
Siwoo let out a sigh of relief and looked at the group.
“This is. . . amazing. T-That mana. . . Are you really human?”
Seigen stuttered as he watched the vast mana overflowing from Siwoo, looking bewildered.
“It’s because Baba Yaga was stronger than I expected. I didn’t want to use it either, but I had no choice.”
It was impossible that he’d never used an ability that he could utilize to his heart’s content without any side effects.
As is the case with most powerful skills, the ability Siwoo used was also so overwhelming that it could kill a mythical being like a Naga in one strike, so the burden it carried must have been enormous.
“I guess ‘Misteltein’ is no match for you now either. No, it would be strange if it was a match with that kind of mana.”
“Why are you complimenting me so much? But ‘Misteltein’ is definitely on another level. It’s hard to win without giving it my all.”
“. . .You usually go all out when you fight the likes of them anyway.”
Seigen chuckled.
The very idea of trying to win against ‘Misteltein’ without giving it his all was absurd.
If he wasn’t going to give it his all against an otherworldly being hailed as the pinnacle of humanity, who would he give it his all against?
“Then, is there only one 〈Pandemonium〉 left?”
Choi Sung-il asked.
“Yes. In some ways, he’s the most central figure. . . Let’s deal with the Reverse Gate first and think about it.”
Siwoo prepared to move to the next gate again.
Every nerve in his body felt like it was being torn apart, and his muscles felt as if they were being crushed by a blunt blade, but he had to endure much longer if he wanted to destroy all the gates.
He would not let anything go the way they wanted.
Thud!
At that moment, someone grabbed Siwoo’s wrist.
It was Namir.
“Master, surely you’re not going to other Reverse Gates as well?”
“Of course I am. There are still many left.”
Siwoo looked at her with a puzzled expression and replied.
“No, I can’t let you go.”
Seigen and Choi Sung-il looked surprised at Namir’s behavior.
But the most surprised person was Siwoo.
“Namir. . .?”
“I will never let you go, Master.”
“. . . . . .”
Namir had never once objected to Siwoo’s opinion or gone against his will.
This was the first time she had ever expressed a different opinion from Siwoo.
“You don’t have to take all the responsibility on your own, Master.”
“. . .But. . .”
“Please trust the master has trained and the other ‘Misteltein’ a little bit. And you need to rest first. There’s no way you can use such abilities without paying any price.”
Namir held Siwoo’s hand tightly, her silver hair flowing pitifully.
It was as if she was saying that he would leave if she let go of this hand.
Siwoo hesitated for a moment before breaking into a sudden smile.
“Okay. I’ll do as you say.”
Only then did Namir seem relieved, her hardened expression relaxing.
“Then I’ll release the skill. . . Can you wake me up in about an hour? If you can, take me near the transfer portal.”
“Wake you up?”
Siwoo released ‘Art of the Half-Dragon’.
The mana that had been burning brightly subsided in an instant, and the scales that had sprouted disappeared.
Thanks to the constant healing from Pre, he was able to use the power of ether without his body being destroyed.
All that was left was the sheer pain and the backlash from his body having to bear the power of a dragon.
Thud.
A pool of blood gushed out of Siwoo’s nose and mouth.
“ㅡㅡㅡ!!”
Before Namir could react, Siwoo’s body collapsed towards her.
🔸🔸🔸
Siwoo blinked his blurry eyes at the unfamiliar ceiling.
A hazy sensation spread throughout his body along his veins.
He followed the needle stuck in his forearm with his gaze, and he could see about five unknown ampoules and Ringer’s solution on the IV stand.
He fumbled through his last memories as if he were stumbling around in a dream.
He clearly remembered killing Baba Yaga, heading to the nearest Reverse Gate to meet Namir. . . and then. . .
Siwoo recalled the scene of him vomiting blood and fainting from the pain that felt like his brain was melting.
“Haah. . .”
His head was still pounding.
Siwoo barely managed to lift his heavy eyelids and raise his upper body.
“You’re awake?”
Namir, who had been sitting in a chair next to him, asked.
“How long did I sleep?”
“About half a day from the time you fainted.”
Half a day meant it had been more than ten hours.
“I told you to wake me up in about an hour.”
Siwoo said in a hoarse voice, rubbing his head.
“Someone vomited blood and collapsed right in front of me, but you think I could wake you up to go fight an hour later?”
“That wasn’t blood from an injury.”
“That’s right. But it’s also a side effect from Master overexerting himself.”
Namir shook her head and handed Siwoo lukewarm water.
“What’s the current gate situation?”
“You’re worried about that as soon as you wake up?”
“I need to know the situation to rest easy or to remove the Ringer’s solution and go fight.”
“I understand. But you don’t have to worry.”
She brought over a tablet PC and opened the news that was coming up in real time to show Siwoo.
━Baba Yaga Killed, Zombie Project Ends
━All ‘Lux’ Users Dead
━All ‘Misteltein’ Deployed to Block Reverse Gates
━Australian Gate Destroyed
━More Reverse Gates Destroyed, ‘Misteltein’ Participation Brings Positive Momentum
━Neighboring Countries Actively Supporting, High Rankers Participating in Large Numbers
Siwoo skimmed the article and handed the tablet PC back to her before lying back down on the bed.
An overwhelming sense of exhaustion washed over Siwoo as if the tension that had been tightly strung had snapped.
“I told you, didn’t I? You can trust them.”
“I will. It’s just that they did better than I expected. . . Honestly, it’s a bit underwhelming.”
“Don’t try to take on too much. Isn’t that why you trained them so that you wouldn’t have to?”
She said with a slightly resentful frown.
Siwoo nodded slightly at her words.
He had prepared for war and weapons with others in advance because he couldn’t handle everything by himself.
He had the goal of eliminating 〈Pandemonium〉, but he also put effort into the operation to gain the excellent power of ‘Misteltein’.
But even so, when something big happened, he still ended up trying to do everything himself.
Siwoo put his hand to his forehead.
He was uncomfortable because this kind of rest, which he rarely felt, was awkward.
【𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐩 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐩.】

Pre said, munching on the apple that Namir had cut for him.
“What are you talking about? There were so many people who liked me in the other world.”

Pre stuck out his tongue and flew away to a distance where Siwoo couldn’t reach him.
“Ah. . . Hey!”
“Master, while you were sleeping, we received a contact from the 〈Agape Order〉.”
“From the Order? Who?”
“Ariaㅡ They said she was a Saint.”
“What did she say?”
Namir spoke with a slightly worried expression, as if she was afraid that Siwoo would jump up and run out of the hospital bed.
“She said that the Dimensional Gate will open soon.”
🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
A few days later.
A meeting of the new War Response Team and ‘Misteltein’.
People gathered around a large round table.
‘Misteltein’ abandoned the floating island Prophetes and created a new headquarters in Switzerland, which was famous for being a neutral country.
The lounge had been destroyed in the previous battle with Sayakon, but there were too many traces of the traitors, and since Merlin knew the coordinates, they had no choice but to abandon it.
The current location was more secure than the previous floating island, with five layers of barriers and various security devices developed by Lockheed Martin.
A man who had come in late sat down in the top seat at the round table.
Everyone’s gazes turned to him.
“There are many people I’m meeting for the first time. My name is Min Siwoo.”
As Siwoo greeted them, some people laughed and clapped, and Gandharva raised both arms and waved them excitedly at Siwoo.
“First of all, thank you for providing us with this place. To be honest, everyone was reluctant to return to the floating island because it was creepy.”
Anubis was the first to thank Siwoo.
“The lounge was destroyed because of the operation I led there in the first place, and since the demons clearly knew the location, it would have been reckless to stay there.”
Siwoo was later able to hear from Kid about the battle that had taken place that day.
The being that had appeared at the moment when Merlin could have been killed.
A being with its head covered in a hood, exuding demonic energy that he had never seen before, a higher-ranking demon that Merlin was cowering before.
Kraken.
Even Kid, who had been able to kill Merlin, hadn’t been able to attempt a single attack.
Was it really possible to use a place where such a creature came and went as a hideout?
“And thank you for dealing with the two traitors instead of ‘Misteltein’. We didn’t even know about it and were just playing into their hands, unable to fulfill our duties as ‘Misteltein’.”
Izanami bowed her head and apologized to Siwoo.
“I’m sorry for making you fight the demons alone while we should have been doing it. I think this is an indelible disgrace and a debt that we will have to repay for the rest of our lives.”
Mad Horse nodded in agreement with Izanami’s opinion.
“We all owe a debt of gratitude to Sir Hunter Min Siwoo. So from now on, you should be our leader.”
Chiu spoke in a slow tone while lying face down on the table.
In fact, each of the ‘Misteltein’ members present felt shame and anger for different reasons.
The fact that they had been betrayed by a trusted colleague.
And the fact that because of that traitor, they hadn’t been able to fulfill their responsibilities as strong beings, and instead had become bystanders who put people in danger.
To top it all off, the fact that someone else had solved all this instead of them was even more shameful and embarrassing.
“That’s right! Siwoo should definitely be the leader! I don’t think anyone else wants to be the leader anyway?”
Gandharva shrugged her shoulders and replied smugly.
“The leader. . . .”
Siwoo turned his head and looked at someone.
“I’m not interested, so you do it.”
Choi Dae-soo glared at Siwoo, chewing on an unlit cigar.
“Yeah, sure.”
Siwoo grinned and looked around the group.
“Before we start the meeting, I’d like to give you a brief introduction. Saint Germain, Baba Yaga, and Merlin have all left, leaving a void, so with my recommendation and your consent, new ‘Misteltein’ have joined.”
Normally, they would have done as Merlin had done, had lengthy discussions with the government, and decided after considering the national situation and who was better and who was not.
However, Siwoo recommended two people, saying that the void in the other world could cause anxiety for people.
And the members of ‘Misteltein’ each gave their honest approval and disapproval, and as a result, the two new people were able to take their place in the other world.
The new members who met Siwoo’s gaze introduced themselves one by one.
“Nice to meet you. My name is Hans Schroder from Germany.”
“I’m the half-demon Namir.”
