HSIU’s Paris Branch in France.
Siwoo watched the autopsy scene on the external monitor.
Coroners along the Y-shaped incision in the abdomen collected Saint Germain’s organs and altered blood, thoroughly recording his body that straddled the line between human and devil.
Simple embalming followed to prevent deterioration.
Before the body was put into the freezer, the coroner called Siwoo in.
“What is it?”
“Oh, we usually have a custom where the investigator in charge gives their final regards and checks the body. We heard that Hunter Min Siwoo caught Saint Germain, so we thought we’d give you some time.”
The elderly coroner smiled with his wrinkled eyes and went outside, saying he’d be back in ten minutes.
Siwoo scratched his cheek, as this was his first time doing something like this.
Did he have anything to say?
He looked down at Saint Germain’s body.
Even after embalming, there were traces of stitching and signs of force here and there.
Some were probably from the autopsy, but most would be from wounds inflicted by Siwoo.
Saint Germain had a very thin face.
Perhaps it was because a lot of his blood had drained after he died, or perhaps because of his experiments on himself.
He didn’t remember very well since he didn’t usually pay much attention to his opponents’ faces during a fight.
He could see the autopsy chart next to him.
━Special Note: Heart is missing. How did he circulate blood throughout his body and stay alive?
Siwoo felt a little sorry for the coroner.
But he couldn’t very well tell him that Pre had eaten the heart.
“How should we handle the remaining two?”
Now, only Merlin and Baba Yaga were left.
It might be funny to handle them legally even now, but in fact, it was more important to follow the rules at a time like this.
If he blindly let his emotions get the better of him and attacked Merlin and Baba Yaga in 〈Pandemonium〉, it could provoke a backlash from other ‘Misteltein’, and he could end up making the Magic Society or even all of 〈Black Heaven〉 his enemy.
What mattered was solid evidence, not circumstantial evidence.
He had to find irrefutable evidence, like with Saint Germain, that no one could argue with.
“I’m sure they’re getting impatient.”
But Siwoo was the only one investigating all of this.
Fortunately, he had people within Misteltein helping him.
Once Pandemonium was dealt with, the next would be the Demon race.
Siwoo started to leave the morgue.
It was that moment.
A sudden chill that seized his entire body rose from behind him.
Siwoo quickly gathered his magic power from his dantian and circulated it throughout his body, materializing a shotgun and turning around.
There, Saint Germain’s body had risen from the table, exuding an ominous aura.
A sly demonic energy, filled with boundless hatred.
A chill ran down Siwoo’s spine as if an iceberg had just passed by.
There weren’t many beings who possessed such extreme murderous intent and such thick, dark demonic energy.
Saint Germain’s neck turned 90 degrees, and he glared at Siwoo with his glowing red eyes in the darkness.
『Long . . . time no see. Min . . . Siwoo.』
A low, growling voice that grated like metal.
Each syllable seemed to pierce Siwoo’s body, scraping against his bones and muscles.
An overwhelmingly powerful and high-ranking being.
Siwoo glared at him as if he wanted to kill him and opened his mouth.
“Long time no see, 4th Realm Demon King.”
The strongest being Siwoo had fought before flying to the other world, and one of the peaks of all Demonkind.
『That is. . .of no consequence. I. . .have no intention. . .of fighting you today.』
The 4th Realm Demon King, who seemed to have possessed Saint Germain’s body, spoke to Siwoo, who was aiming his shotgun at him.
Siwoo spread out his magic detection in all directions to search for any suspicious movements, but there was nothing out of the ordinary other than the situation in front of him.
He dispelled the shotgun.
To think that he could exude such an aura even while merely borrowing someone else’s body.
His level was incomparable to when he had fought in the past.
He must have stabilized the side effects of ‘Dimension Shift’ over the time that had passed.
『Ten years it has been. . .and yet your appearance. . .remains the same.』
The 4th Realm Demon King observed Siwoo through Saint Germain’s eyes.
Demons lived long lives, so their physical bodies aged slowly, but the humans he knew showed wrinkles on their faces after just a few years.
But there was no sign of that in Siwoo.
It was almost as if time had stopped for him ten years ago.
“Thanks to you, I was able to rest well in a good place. You seem to have grown a little since the old days. Did you eat some good medicine?”
『Heh . . . heh . . . heh. You’re the only one who . . . can speak to me, the 4th Realm Demon King, . . . like that.』
The 4th Realm Demon King let out a sardonic laugh at Siwoo’s teasing and spread his mouth wide.
He seemed to be having a leisurely conversation, but in reality, the 4th Realm Demon King was suppressing his urge to snap Siwoo’s neck right now.
Min Siwoo, the one who had caused him the greatest crisis in his entire life.
Because of him, the 4th Realm Demon King’s position within demonkind had been greatly reduced, and the forces supporting him had inevitably weakened.
“Is there a particular reason you came to see me?”
『No. I was merely curious to see. . .how much you have grown. . .and to warn you. . .not to die before. . .you die by my hand.』
“Well, that’s a nice warning. Don’t get beaten by another Demon King before you get your hands on me.”
『Heh . . . heh . . . . I’ll be waiting . . . . You must never die . . . a painless death.』
Saint Germain glared at Siwoo with his red eyes, then slumped down like a toy whose batteries had run out.
The Demon King, who had never shown his face before, had appeared in person and had a conversation with Siwoo.
‘𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘮 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘮?’
Siwoo felt an ominous sense of foreboding and thought that he should hurry as well.

Ryu Ji-hwan let out a long puff of smoke as he watched the Hunter Tube video.
The 1st Hierarchy of Pandemonium, a former top-class Hunter from Misteltein, had died in a 1-on-1 fight with another Hunter in the middle of the city.
“Min Siwoo . . . . He’s become a real big shot.”
He flicked the cigarette ash to the side and analyzed the battle scene in detail.
It was a technique that he couldn’t even dream of imitating.
Saint Germain was a monster who was unlike any human, but Min Siwoo, who was fighting him, was also unlike any human.
“What are you doing, Ryu Ji-hwan? Are you still watching that video?”
“Tennis ball head. Do you think you can beat Min Siwoo if you fight him?”
“I can.”
“?”
“If you give me about 100 legendary artifacts.”
“Moron. You wouldn’t be able to beat him even if you had 1,000.”
Ryu Ji-hwan clicked his tongue and patted his butt before getting up from his seat.
“Are we going to pick up the artifact that the old man requested today? I wonder when this annoying work will end.”
Crowel displayed a map as a hologram and asked, as was customary.
It had been a few weeks since they had gathered the artifact that opened the door to the other dimension.
However, they had recently been unable to collect many artifacts.
The remaining artifacts were now in places like government agencies or the Ministry of Defense, making them virtually impossible to steal.
“No.”
But the answer that came back was a bit different from what Crowel had expected.
“No? Then what are we going to do? Is there another order?”
“Hey, Crowel.”
“What is it, human? Why are you calling me by my name so suddenly?”
“I’m quitting 〈Pandemonium〉 as of today.”
Ryu Ji-hwan answered, taking a deep drag of his cigarette.
The time had finally come.
Crowel nodded.
“Are you going back to IZIZ now?”
“Yeah. I’ve seen all there is to see here. There’s nothing more for me to do.”
“You’ve worked hard all this time.”
“What are you going to do?”
“I . . . .”
Crowel hesitated for a moment before answering.
“I know you saved my life from 〈Pandemonium〉 before, but I’ve already paid you back for that.”
“Well, maybe. But I’ll ask you one last time. Join IZIZ. I won’t ask you again after this.”
Ryu Ji-hwan glared at Crowel.
This was effectively an ultimatum.
Crowel thought back over the offer that Ryu Ji-hwan had made him ever since he had joined 〈Pandemonium〉.
There was a brief silence.
He nodded, having made up his mind.
“I guess I’ll have to call you Boss from now on.”
“Heh heh. Welcome to your new organization.”
“But Ryu . . . Boss, did you know that Saint Germain was in the Hierarchy?”
“Of course. Do you want me to tell you the rest?”
He told Crowel the names of Merlin and Baba Yaga as well.
Crowel made a very surprised expression at the names he had never expected.
“This organization is even more formidable than I thought. There were three Mistelteins?”
“Well, there were.”
“We can’t afford to let our guard down, can we?”
“Heh heh heh. Remember what I said, Crowel.”
“What?”
“〈Pandemonium〉 is definitely going to collapse soon.”
Ryu Ji-hwan flicked the cigarette he had finished smoking and threw it far away.
“If you say so, I guess that’s that. By the way, the old man won’t leave us alone. What are we going to do about him?”
“I appreciate him giving me my arm back, but business is business.”
Crowel realized what Ryu Ji-hwan meant by his answer and let out a small sigh.
“What’s IZIZ’s next operation?”
“We got a request. A juicy one.”
Ryu Ji-hwan smiled as he put on his sunglasses.

The Doctor remained in the lab that Saint Germain had left and conducted the necessary experiments on the things he had left behind.
Human experimentation was not his field of interest, but he was intrigued by the fact that there were several Devil corpses left behind.
He had confirmed Saint Germain’s death on the news.
“Tsk, tsk. What a pathetic death.”
The Doctor was astonished when the body he had modified so painstakingly was so easily defeated by Siwoo.
He had definitely felt an overwhelming aura when he had performed the surgery, but to think that he would die so easily.
This was why research should be done by researchers, and fighting should be done by professionals.
He blamed his disciple’s foolishness and cut open a Devil’s muscle to place it on a microscope slide.
It was that moment.
Clatter.
The fluorescent lights flickered, and the laboratory became alternately bright and dark.
The Doctor grabbed the cane next to him and got up from his seat.
And when he turned around, he was speechless at the sudden situation.
Three masked figures were standing far away, looking at him.
“White masks. They seem to be from IZIZ. What business do they have with this old man?”
“Oh, how nice to meet you. I’m not from IZIZ, but I’m wearing a mask because I’m shy.”
Jin Do-wa, who was sitting on one of the lab tables, said, lifting his mask up.
“Aren’t you ‘Six Fingers’, who betrayed Pandemonium and ran away? You’ve teamed up with IZIZ. So, why did you come to me?”
“Oh my, senior, you really do speak harshly. If anyone heard you, they’d think I’d been part of 〈Pandemonium〉 from the start.”
“Either way, it’s not important to me. If you have no business here, get out, you insignificant terrorist!”
Jin Do-wa smiled, his handsome face filled with a carefree smile.
It was because the doctor looked like a scared dog barking.
“We’ll leave when we’re done, so don’t worry.”
“You damn bat-like bastard . . .!!”
“Let me show you what a real bat is.”
Jin Do-wa took out a pair of crossbows from his arms and aimed them at him.
“You’re a thousand years too early to kill me!”
The Doctor slammed his cane into the floor of the basement.
