“N-Not over the phone! What if someone’s listening!?”
Gandharva blushed and shouted irritably.
Siwoo tilted his head, but nodded in agreement, as it was a valid point.
“Ah, I see. I didn’t think of that. It’s better to avoid important conversations over calls. Good call.”
“Huh. . .? Oh, oh! Right! Hahaha! That’s why I came to you, because I have something to tell you!”
At that moment, other people approached Siwoo.
Initially, they were wary, assuming he was an enemy, but they relaxed their stance when Siwoo didn’t fight and instead spoke to them casually. After the dust settled, they realized he was Gandharva.
“Excuse me, what brings a Hunter Gandharva to this place?”
“Oh? It’s Hans Schroder. Long time no see. I came here to chat with Siwoo.”
“One of humanity’s strongest forces came all the way to Germany just. . . to chat? With Min Siwoo?”
“That’s right, to chat. But Siwoo seems stronger than me, so I’m a little embarrassed to be called one of humanity’s strongest forces.”
The people gathered there were surprised to hear Gandharva speak so modestly, which was unusual for her.
Among the Hunters, there were a few known for their arrogance, and Gandharva was always at the top of that list.
However, despite her arrogance, no one dared to gossip about her or point it out directly.
Of course, that was because anyone who had ever spoken to her like that had been beaten up by Gandharva and never dared to utter such words again.
“Gandharva has changed a lot.”
Hans looked at her with surprised eyes.
“What? Are you trying to be sarcastic right now? You damn brat, do you want to become a vegetable again?!”
“. . .I guess you haven’t changed. I take it back.”
Hans, who didn’t realize that her attitude had softened only towards Siwoo, knew that she hadn’t changed when Gandharva’s expression turned sour.
“But what did you come all the way here to talk about?”
Siwoo asked her.
“Um. . . It’s a bit hard to say here.”
Gandharva hesitated for a moment, then grabbed Siwoo’s arm and pulled him away from the others.
“What’s wrong?”
“Well, it’s. . . I was wondering who the other 〈Pandemonium〉 Hierarchy members are. Can you tell me?”
Siwoo stared at her.
Compared to the other ‘Misteltein’ members, Gandharva was relatively simple and easy to talk to, so he thought it would be okay to let her in on it.
She had already been verified and cleared, after all.
“If I tell you, you’ll keep it a secret, right?”
“O-Of course! I, Gandharva, swear on my life that I will not utter a word of what I hear from this moment forward!”
She answered, her eyes sparkling brightly as she looked at Siwoo.
Siwoo paused for a moment.
There was no particular reason for it.
It was just that he had learned that it was more effective to wait a little before revealing such information, rather than blurting it out right away.
“The 〈Pandemonium〉 Hierarchy is. . .”
Siwoo whispered into her ear, his voice low.
Gandharva suppressed the urge to scream at Siwoo’s whisper and breath on her ear.
“U-uh, yes, yes!”
“Merlin and Baba Yaga.”
“. . .W-What?!”
Gandharva’s eyes widened, and she looked at him in disbelief.
She wasn’t doubting Siwoo or calling him a liar.
However, his words were so shocking that she had to repeat them to herself to fully comprehend them.
Of course, anyone would be shocked to be labeled a 〈Pandemonium〉 traitor, but Baba Yaga and Merlin were different to Gandharva.
Merlin was someone she had always respected, as he had always taken the lead and guided ‘Misteltein’. Baba Yaga, on the other hand, was someone she had confided in because she was a good listener, despite her cold demeanor.
A vague sense of betrayal washed over her.
“W-What? Then the ‘War Response Team’. . . Why are they?”
Gandharva asked Siwoo, her voice filled with sorrow and anger, her eyes welling up with tears.
“They probably infiltrated ‘Misteltein’ as 〈Pandemonium〉 scouts. To keep an eye on the enemy camp.”
“T-Then. . . When Siwoo asked us about the Hierarchy. . . was that also to. . .?”
“I needed to figure out who was 〈Pandemonium〉. That’s when I found out that those two were part of the Hierarchy.”
Gandharva nodded.
The tears that had gathered in her eyes fell to the ground.
A complex mix of emotions churned within her, boiling up from the depths of her heart.
Those bastards had hidden the fact that they were 〈Pandemonium〉 and had deceived us by joining ‘Misteltein’.
Pretending to be allies, pretending to be friends, pretending to be humanity’s hope.
The smiles and kindness they had shown her flashed through her mind.
“Huu. . .”
Gandharva took a deep breath and slowly calmed her emotions.
“I’m going to tear them apart limb from limb. . .”
She gritted her teeth and glared at them.
She wanted to rush over and punch them right now, but Siwoo, who knew the truth, must have had his reasons for staying silent, so Gandharva couldn’t just rush off either.
“You’ve done well to hold back. But not now.”
“When then?”
“We have a hunch, but unfortunately, we don’t have any evidence.”
“We have no choice but to keep waiting?”
“For now, ‘Misteltein’ has been disbanded, so we’ll keep an eye on them for a while. But how long will that last? They’ll make their move soon enough.”
Gandharva let out a soft sigh and nodded at Siwoo’s words.
“When that happens, I’ll. . . be the first to charge in and give those bastards a face they’ll never forget.”

Paris, France.
The Bastille Day celebrations were in full swing, with parades and parties taking place all over the city.
The French people were out in full force, enjoying the festivities and reveling in the joy of the day.
Tourists from all over the world had come to experience the excitement and freedom, mingling with the locals.
After the DJ club parties and orchestra performances, the grand finale, the Eiffel Tower fireworks display, was about to begin.
Tourists and French citizens alike took out their cameras and cell phones to capture the Eiffel Tower.
Darkness descended upon Paris.
Just as everyone’s hearts were filled with anticipation, the fireworks display began, bursting into the sky with a series of explosions.
Bang! Boom! Boom! Boom!
It was a magnificent and beautiful sight.
People cheered and screamed with joy.
Broadcast cameras and countless personal broadcasting cameras captured the fireworks, their thunderous booms echoing through the air.
It was a meaningful scene that was being broadcast live to the world.
The live broadcast on Hunter Tube was quickly flooded with thousands of comments, mostly from people expressing their desire to witness it in person.
The crowd surged like waves.
Everyone’s eyes were fixed on the dazzling spectacle that was the Eiffel Tower and the fireworks.
And outside the hundreds of thousands of people, dozens of prototypes from the ‘New Human Project’ were tearing people apart, devouring them one by one.
Screams of agony and the sounds of bodies being torn apart were drowned out by the excitement of the festival.
Blood splattered gruesomely, and entrails and flesh spilled onto the ground.
People clung to those next to them, but they stepped back, thinking it was just contact that happened during the festival, and continued to watch the fireworks.
Thud! Crunch! Crunch!
One of the prototypes, which looked nothing like a human, bit into a tourist.
Its upper body was human, but its lower body was that of a goblin, and its legs were the arms of an orc.
An influencer who happened to be filming a live video captured the scene, and within a short period of time, it became controversial and spread like wildfire.
And a message arrived for Siwoo.
“Apparently this is footage from the festival in Paris right now. Check it out and find other videos from the same broadcast.”
Siwoo showed the footage of the monster devouring a human to his companions and gave further orders.
“Understood, little master. But who sent you that footage?”
“This? Loki.”
“Loki. . . The Loki from ‘Misteltein’?!”
Rolf Bangenheimer exclaimed in surprise.
“Why are you so surprised?”
“Well. . . I’ve never seen her do anything like this for someone before.”
“Really? She’s been quite helpful to me.”
Of course, Loki’s helpfulness towards Siwoo was different from her behavior towards others, but he didn’t bother to explain that.
“The other live footage shows people watching the fireworks just fine. . .”
“The camera isn’t pointed in the right direction, you see.”
Hans and Layla shook their heads as they watched the current French broadcast channel.
“Uh. . . no, something’s definitely wrong, little master!”
Benedict shouted and showed Siwoo his tablet.
“I asked some friends who live in Paris, and a few of them sent me pictures of the crowd from a distance.”
When the pictures were zoomed in, they revealed strange-looking monsters attacking people on the outskirts.
“It looks real. What the hell is this? A ghoul?”
Hans asked, staring at the screen intently.
“No. It’s a hybrid created by Saint Germain.”
“Wait, you’re saying this bastard made these things? Does that mean Saint Germain is in Paris?”
Gandharva’s eyes flashed, and she turned to Siwoo.
It felt like an arrow being pulled back before it was released.
“He wouldn’t have caused all this chaos and then just run away. He must be there.”
“Then let’s go, too.”
“I’m going, of course. Anyone else coming?”
Siwoo asked, and the others looked at each other before raising their hands.
“Don’t leave me out, little master!”
“Hee hee! Leonie will show you the power of the HSIU!”
“I’m curious to see the results of our training, even though it’s only been a few days. Rolf, can you open a portal?”
“A portal to Paris? I’ll get it ready right away.”
Siwoo and his companions headed towards the 〈German Hunter Association〉, gathering their equipment and weapons.
🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
It took about 10 to 15 minutes after the monsters appeared for people to realize the seriousness of the situation.
After all, everyone was caught up in the festival, and the fireworks were enough to drive all thoughts out of their minds.
Perhaps it would have been better if they had remained unaware of the monsters and simply dispersed slowly.
Because when the fireworks display was suddenly interrupted and a warning broadcast about the monsters was issued, hundreds of thousands of people were thrown into chaos.
The New Humans took advantage of the commotion to kill humans, running around and slaughtering them instead of eating them.
Awakened beings, police officers, and Hunters who had been deployed too late tried to catch the monsters, but they couldn’t find them properly because it was too crowded.
“Damn it! There are too many people, I can’t aim!”
“We can’t use our skills in this crowd! We’ll hit people!”
“The estimated death toll has already exceeded 200!”
Just as people were panicking and running around.
Zi━━━ng!!!
A terrifying aura descended from the sky and tore through the body of one of the monsters, landing on the ground.
With long, flowing black hair that fluttered in the wind and blazing red eyes.
“Saint Germain, you damn bastard!! Where are you!!”
Gandharva shouted at the top of her lungs, unable to contain her anger.
“Don’t you think he’ll just run away if you get so angry?”
Siwoo, who had followed her, materialized his shotgun and fired a magic bullet at a New Human in the distance.
Bang!!
“Now, let’s see where he’s hiding.”
Siwoo looked around and activated his Mana Detection.
