Exiled from the kingdom, Marie was headed straight for foreign lands.

“. . . . . .Flying is really quite enjoyable, isn’t it?”

She was flying through the sky using flight magic. Borrowing a broom that had been discarded in the castle’s trash heap, she was flying with her hips perched sideways on it.

Even when magic was in its heyday, this flight magic was a highly advanced technique.

But now, she wielded magic as naturally as breathing.

Witch Goddess Lovmarie. For her, who had mastered a thousand spells and effortlessly vanquished the Demon King, flying was a trivial matter.

“What should I do now?”

Having been expelled from her country, Marie had no plans. In both her past and present lives, she had always been absorbed in the study of magic and academia, having little to no free time.

But now, she suddenly found herself with an abundance of free time.

Her quest for revenge in her previous life was complete, and she no longer had to undergo queenly education in this life. She was already skilled in magic and didn’t need to train as she had in her previous life.

“Moreover, this body is amazing. It’s brimming with magical power.”

In her previous life, she had been plagued by a lack of magical power, unable to use the spells she desired. But in this body of Marie-Von-Gordeau, she possessed nearly a hundred times the magical power of her previous life.

With the memories and techniques of the most powerful witch, coupled with her enormous magical power in this life, she could easily become a second Demon King. She could easily, perhaps even more quickly than a Demon King, seize control of the world.

“Well, not that I’m going to do that.”

If she became a second Demon King, a second Witch Goddess would surely appear. Therefore, she vowed not to use her powers for violence. But then, what will she do?

“. . . . . .Hm? What’s that?”

It was then that she saw it. Below, in the forest, a carriage was being attacked by monsters.

“That’s quite an opulent carriage. Could it be royalty?”

Regardless, the carriage, likely carrying someone of noble birth, was being attacked by a monster resembling a tiger.

So, what will she do?

Marie had no obligation to save that carriage. She was not a being of justice.

In her previous life, she had defeated the Demon King purely out of revenge for her burned village and family; she had no intention of saving the world.

After defeating the Demon King, she made no claims of her achievements to the kingdom and simply died after accomplishing her goals.

She does put in the effort, but that’s solely to achieve her own ambitions.

Lovmarie is, after all, a selfish woman.

The Marie before regaining her memories and the current Marie might as well be different people. As a result of blending two sets of memories, her personality now prominently displayed her past life’s more pragmatic aspects.

So she could just as well abandon the carriage.

“Ah, that’s right. I haven’t tested my attack magic yet.”

Knowing that she could use flight magic already showed that she could recreate Lovmarie’s magic with this body.

But she hadn’t yet tested her attack magic.

“If I’m going to die because I couldn’t use magic when attacked by monsters, then no thank you.”

Marie is neither a hero nor an advocate of justice.

Leaving the monster-attacked carriage behind would not pose a problem.

Marie lives as a selfish witch, not as a heroic savior.

So this is purely a test run.

“If it’s a monster attacking people, I can kill it without hesitation.”

Marie raises her right hand above her head.

Then, a grand Magic Circle unfolds.

“Divine Thunderclap Sword.”

In the past life, attack magic was divided into four classes: low, medium, high, and ultimate.

The highest-ranking magic is called ultimate magic.

What she unleashed was the ultimate lightning magic, Divine Thunderclap Sword.

A spell that creates a gigantic sword of lightning and drops it, annihilating a wide range of enemies.

Even in ancient times, there were only a handful of practitioners of ultimate magic.

However, the only one who could cast it without chanting was Lovmarie, the strongest witch in her previous life.

A sword of lightning imbued with terrifying power hits the ground and discharges electricity into the surroundings.

An average caster would have inevitably involved innocent bystanders as well.

But Marie was a genius.

She had control over her attack magic, making sure it did not affect her protection targets.

In her past life, Lovmarie polished her magical power control techniques to efficiently use magic due to her insufficient magical power. As a result, she became able to freely control magic.

In the vast world, the only one capable of launching wide-area ultimate attack magic without killing specific humans is the Witch Goddess.
