“Just a little more and I can make rare items too.”

Since two days ago, when I made a weapon for Raz, I’ve been stuck in the Quest Guild and the Duel Arena. I smiled, remembering the rare material box I managed to buy. Now, if I just get the recipe and pull out the matching materials from the box, I should be able to make the rare equipment I’ve been looking forward to.

“Still, Twilight is amazing.”

Along with various fan sites, the number of cafes and communities was also considerable. A large number meant high popularity, and considering that popularity, it seemed unlikely to fail easily.

‘Yeah, it can’t fail.’

I’ve built up so much in Twilight.

Frankly, if I sold all the gold, equipment, and mansion I have now, tens of millions of won would easily be exceeded. No, it might even be over 100 million won. Just the +10 Enhanced Shield alone would be worth an enormous amount.

[Cash Shop Open!]

“Huh? Cash Shop?”

At that moment, I was logged into the Twilight homepage and spotted the word “Cash Shop” written on the main page. What does this mean? The Cash Shop in the game meant buying items with real money.

‘Well, I don’t care if a Cash Shop appears.’

With my Intuition, I could become stronger faster thanks to the Cash Shop. This is because most Cash Shops sell items with probability attached. However, after clicking on the notice, I realized that it was a slightly different form from the Cash Shop I knew.

[Cash Shop Open!]

[Content: A Cash Shop will be opened in Twilight. More people than expected requested it, but we decided to sell only those items that don’t need to be modified through patches via the Cash Shop.

Currently, there are three items available in the opened Cash Shop.

[Change Hair Length.]

[Change Hair Color.]

[Change Equipment Color.]

We will post a notice whenever we add more items in the future.]

“Nothing special.”

There were only items that didn’t affect the game balance at all. Would stats increase just by changing things like hair length or color? Feeling a sense of disappointment for some reason, I sighed and looked at the bottom item, “Change Equipment Color.”

“Change Equipment Color, huh……”

I don’t know about the others, but this equipment color change seems like it will sell.

Thinking back on the fact that there are surprisingly many people in Twilight with different equipment colors, it was a natural thought.

The problem is the price.

If it costs tens of thousands of won to change the equipment color, it might be meaningless.

“Well, I can check it later when I log in.”

Thinking only that far, I took my eyes off the Cash Shop and went to the bulletin board.

“Hmm.”

I entered the bulletin board, but most of it was information I already knew or just idle chatter. Isn’t there anything new? As I was looking around like that, I found a post with a peculiar title.

[Ranking of the Most Difficult Quests in the Harpe Empire.]

[Content: In the Harpe Empire, where the most users are gathered, there are a considerable number of difficult quests that make you wonder if they were even meant to be cleared. Among them, I’ve ranked only those quests that are particularly notorious for their difficulty. If you know the strategy for any of the quests listed below, please let me know. I will offer a small reward.]

And below, several quests were listed.

[3rd Place. Count Nabel Quest.]

[Content: This is an infiltration quest that can be received in the city of Diwood, located in the southern part of the Harpe Empire. If you go to the corner of Diwood city, there is a dilapidated house where a knight who has been stripped of his qualifications for some reason resides. If you talk to him, the knight will say that Count Nabel is colluding with another country and ask you to find the evidence, but virtually no one has said they’ve cleared it.

First of all, the mansion is swarming with knights, and if you enter within a certain range, you’ll be immediately detected. It’s not about being in their line of sight, but simply within a certain range. Also, even if you manage to infiltrate while avoiding the knights, you don’t know where the evidence of collusion is, so you end up having to search everywhere.

Furthermore, if you’re caught by a knight, you have to fight on the spot, but the knights don’t just fight alone. Because they call all their comrades around, if you’re caught, it’s basically game over.

Personally, I chose this as 3rd place because it’s a quest where you have to face it head-on without any information.]

“Infiltration quest?”

I tilted my head. Strangely, it didn’t seem difficult. Wouldn’t it be possible to clear it if you just have Teleportation and Stealth? Of course, it was impossible for me. Even though I have Phantom Shift, which allows for Teleportation and Stealth, the phantom itself remains, making infiltration impossible.

If I could divide Phantom Shift and use movement, stealth, and phantom separately, then maybe……

‘Let’s see 2nd place.’

[2nd Place. Bamut Shrine Quest.]

[Content: This is the Bamut Shrine quest that can be received in the forest southeast of the Harpe Empire capital. In that forest, a knight named Rayan is collapsed. If you give Rayan water and food, she’ll give you the quest to head to the Bamut Shrine.

The problem is that the process of progressing through the Bamut Shrine is extremely difficult.

If you go to the royal castle, they’ll give you 5 knights and 10 soldiers, but the path is narrow, so they’re of no use. Also, when you enter the shrine, your stats are reduced by 20%, and if you press the wrong button to open the door, you’ll either be moved to a different location or your stats will be reduced by another 20%.

When it reaches 100%, your character commits suicide.

Even if you manage to reach the priests safely, you can’t clear it. This is because you have to fight the Bamut Apostle, who boasts tremendous attack power. Moreover, if you fail, the Bamut Cult will slowly creep out, and a subjugation quest will appear.

Anyway, I’ve placed the Bamut Shrine, which countless players have challenged and failed, and even spawned a subjugation quest, in 2nd place.]

‘……Didn’t I clear this?’

Looking at the content, it seems they just went to the royal castle. If they had gone with Rayan, wouldn’t there have been players who succeeded? Well, thanks to that, the Bamut Cult appeared and I got a rare sword, so I have no complaints.

By the way, the quest I cleared two weeks ago is ranked 2nd.

‘Did they rank these too carelessly?’

Finally, I looked at the long-awaited 1st place quest.

[1st Place. Gambler Gent’s Request.]

[Content: This is a quest that can be received in the city of Loughton in the Harpe Empire. If you go to the city of Loughton, you can see a beggar-like NPC sitting on the street, and you receive the quest from him.

However, the conditions for receiving the quest are simple yet difficult. First, you must have 100 gold in your item window, and you must also have the Luck stat.

If you accept the quest, Gent will ask you to take revenge on someone on his behalf, and if you agree, you’ll go to some strange place and have a gambling match.

But it’s called a gambling match, but when you start, you’ll be ridiculously affected by your Luck stat. In other words, the higher your Luck, the better the hand you get, and the lower it is, the worse the hand you get. Furthermore, the player starts with about 100 gold, but the opponent starts with 10 times that amount.

If you lose, you lose 100 gold just like that. As far as I know, about 6 people have attempted this quest, but they all failed and lost their money. You can’t win because you’re behind in both Luck and funds.

In addition, I’ve chosen this gambling quest as the grand 1st place because the conditions for triggering it are demanding and there’s no special strategy.]

‘1st place is a bit strange?’

I thought some incredible quest would pop out, but it’s just a gambling quest.

“Do I…… have a little over 20 gold right now?”

I spent quite a bit of money buying the mansion and on recipe materials, but thanks to doing D-rank quests repeatedly, I have about 20 gold. Honestly, it’s not a small amount, but it’s undeniably insufficient compared to 100 gold.

‘Looking at it this way, the starting conditions themselves are difficult.’

How much is 100 gold in cash? Roughly calculated, it’s 300-400 million won. The fact that you need to have that much money in gold to even start the quest is nearly impossible for me right now.

Of course, if I do a C-rank quest today and sell the weapons I make, I could somehow gather 100 gold, but……

“No, why was I even thinking about doing this quest?”

Thinking about it again, it didn’t make sense. It’s like I naturally thought about doing it, or something? Anyway, I couldn’t do the gambling quest even if I wanted to, since I don’t have the Luck stat.

‘Honestly, the Luck stat isn’t that hard to get though.’

Soon, I shook my head, thinking it was a useless thought. And since I was curious about other people’s thoughts on this ranking, I read the comments below.

[I agree with up to 2nd place. Honestly, I don’t think 1st place is right.]

[I can’t even start the 1st place gambling quest. How do you even gather 100 gold?]

[But it said 10 times the funds, right? Do you get 1000 gold if you win?]

[↑Oh? That could be it.]

[Wow, you get 1000 gold if you win? How much is that in cash?]

[The current exchange rate is about 3.8, so…… roughly 38 million? That exceeds the price of most rare items.]

[Damn. You’re saying I can get over 30 million won just by clearing that one quest? I’m doing it right now.]

[Wow~ You’re rich.]

‘Huh? 30 million won?’

Come to think of it, if you start with 100 gold, you’ll take the opponent’s 10 times the funds, which is 1000 gold. If you think about earning 3-40 million won just from one quest, it’s not bad.

‘And I haven’t really earned any money in the past few days.’

I don’t think I’ve earned any money since I sold the High Priest’s Belt I got from the Bamut Cult battle to Eris. Seeing the gambling quest in this situation somehow piqued my interest.

“Instead of doing this, I should first get 100 gold…… no, wait.”

It’s a quest that no one has ever succeeded in clearing. There’s no guarantee that I can clear it even if I try, and I might just lose 100 gold for nothing.

“It’s a shame, but let’s give up.”

There are many ways to earn money even without this quest. If necessary, I can just make and sell weapons.

Somehow managing to let go of my lingering attachment, I looked at the clock hanging on the wall and got up from my seat to try logging into Twilight.

[May you find what you seek on the streets illuminated by Twilight……]

“Come to think of it, I haven’t left the village recently.”

Since I’ve been going to the Quest Guild and staying put in the Duel Arena, there was no reason to leave the village. But the time I spent in the Duel Arena all day was worth it.

“Well, I got a rare material box.”

Thanks to that, my remaining points are about 3800, but I didn’t care. It was more important to check if the crafted item would become rare grade by drawing a rare material.

If a rare grade equipment is made, I’ll have to work on earning points again, but I could get one rare material box every two days if I work hard.

[Emperor Guild’s ‘Aizen’ has invited you to the Guild Chat.]

“Aizen?”

I haven’t met him recently, but I heard he’s been busy even after the guild quest, so I was puzzled.

‘Still, it’s been a while.’

It was the first time since I contacted him when I introduced Lesia.

━Rudin-nim. Excuse me, but what are you doing?

As soon as I accepted the invitation, Aizen asked me that question.

“I just logged in, but…… I was about to head to the Quest Guild.”

━If you don’t mind, could you come out of the east gate and walk straight ahead?

“East gate? Why there?”

━You’ll be able to see something quite interesting. Besides, I have something to give you, Rudin-nim, so I’d appreciate it if you could come.

“……?”

[Leaving Guild Chat.]

‘What is he going to give me again?’

I wanted to ask, but the guild chat had already ended. It seemed like I had to go to the east gate as Aizen said to find out.

“Hmm.”

Well, shall I go?

Since he said the east gate, it shouldn’t be that far. Thinking it would be over quickly, I moved towards the east gate instead of the Quest Guild.

Murmur~ Murmur~

‘There are so many people.’

After walking for about 10-20 minutes from the east gate, I noticed a large crowd of people gathered for some reason. I wondered if they were all Emperor Guild members, but seeing that they didn’t have the emblem, it seemed that wasn’t the case either.

In other words, people who had nothing to do with the Emperor Guild had also gathered.

“What’s going on? Why are people gathered here?”

“I don’t know. I saw a bunch of Emperor Guild members gathered.”

“Really? Are they doing something here?”

Listening to the conversations nearby, it seemed that the gathered people didn’t know the reason either. And as I walked further inside, I could hear another conversation near where the Emperor Guild members were.

“Are they finally making it?”

“Wow, it’s a first in Twilight, right?”

“Of course. I’m so glad I joined the Emperor Guild.”

“Me too. When I tell people who play Twilight that I’m an Emperor Guild member, their eyes change.”

“It’s a guild you can’t even join even if you want to now.”

“I heard they can accept 1000 more members when they reach C-rank?”

“What’s the point of being able to accept more? There’s a huge waiting list.”

‘Are they Emperor Guild members?’

Listening to the conversation, it seemed like they were indeed Emperor Guild members. Also, it felt like they knew what they were going to do here, so I decided to approach them and ask.
