Owner of Twilight Intuition – Chapter 49

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 49

[Enhancement Stone] (Normal)

Description: A stone with mysterious power. It has the property of enhancing all equipment. It can be applied up to 5 times, but the moment it fails, the equipment may no longer be usable.

Single-use consumable.

(Price 5 Gold)

“Ah~ so this is what it was.”

Looking at the Enhancement Stones being sold at the Luxury Shop, my questions were finally answered. It was strange that there were Enhancement Stones that applied to each part, but those Enhancement Stones could be applied up to +10, and these could only be applied up to +5.

“……Wait a minute?”

Then I’ve been doing useless work?

I looked at the Blue Aura Stone Ring that was sleeping soundly in my Item Storage. If I followed the standard procedure, I should have just enhanced it to +5 with normal Enhancement Stones, and then used the Magic-grade Enhancement Stone obtained from Nertasus to reach +10.

“Huh, I thought today was going to be a good day.”

Good day my foot.

The quest was only half successful, and the precious Enhancement Stone was used on the first enhancement attempt. It would be a lie to say I didn’t regret it, but I couldn’t turn back time, so I decided not to dwell on it.

“Anyway, what should I do with these Enhancement Stones?”

The money I currently have is just enough to buy three of these Enhancement Stones. But is there really a need to buy them? Since they’re being sold for 5 Gold at the ridiculously expensive Luxury Shop, I thought the Enhancement Stones sold by other players would be much cheaper.

‘Why the hell did they make enhancing so difficult?’

Anyway, let’s leave the Enhancement Stones aside.

No matter how I look at it, buying Enhancement Stones here was a loss. Thinking I should buy at least one piece of equipment instead, I turned my eyes to the rings, but there was an item that caught my eye more than those rings.

‘A belt?’

Come to think of it, the ring was in my Item Storage, right? I can’t wear it right now anyway.

Thinking that far, I approached the belts and examined them one by one, and soon found a belt that I liked.

[-Luxury Shop- Magic Leather Belt] (Magic)

Description: A belt with a spell engraved in the center of the buckle that activates magic power. It has the effect of further enhancing the wearer’s magic power.

Durability: 50/50

*Item Storage Capacity +5.

(Price 9 Gold 80 Silver)

“A belt with 25 Magic Power……”

Wearing this would be the same as increasing my Magic Power by 250. The price was unnecessarily expensive, but I thought items that increased Magic Power wouldn’t be that common among belts.

“Purchase.”

[Ding!~ You have purchased the Magic Leather Belt.]

[Your remaining balance is 5 Gold 25 Silver 21 Copper.]

[Thank you for your purchase.]

“……”

Now even the message window is thanking me.

In addition, the remaining money was a little over 5 Gold. With this, it was difficult to buy anything other than Enhancement Stones. What’s the point of having purchase restrictions? It’s ridiculously expensive anyway. In any case, by purchasing the belt, I could say that my business here was finished.

“Phew.”

Let’s go back.

Still, it wasn’t a waste of time since I learned about Enhancement Stones for sure. I thought I should come back next time with at least 30 Gold, and slowly left the Luxury Shop.

‘I should open the Skillbook.’

I was debating whether to practice Elsyke’s Phantom Shift or use the Random Skillbook first, but eventually, I decided on the Random Skillbook. I thought my day would likely end with these two Skillbooks.

***

[Would you like to open the Skillbook? Skills will be learned automatically upon opening.]

“Huh?”

This is……

While I was blankly using Random Skillbooks in a secluded corner of an alley, I suddenly came to my senses. It was because I felt a sensation that resonated throughout my body. Moreover, there was no way I wouldn’t know what this meant, so I quickly opened the Random Skillbook.

[You have acquired the S-rank skill ‘Dreton’s Equipment Crafting’.]

[As you acquire the skill, your stats will increase.]

[Strength increases by 5.]

[Stamina increases by 5.]

[Skill increases by 10.]

“Dreton’s Equipment Crafting?”

Could it be an S-rank crafting skill……?

[You have used up all your playtime. Please rest in reality……]

“Extend!”

[Extending by 30 minutes. Please note that the connection will be terminated automatically after 30 minutes.]

I can’t log out without even knowing what kind of skill it is. I hurriedly extended my playtime, took a deep breath, and decided to find out what Dreton’s Equipment Crafting was……

[Ding!~ You are currently learning a skill identical to the S-rank skill ‘Dreton’s Equipment Crafting’. Would you like to convert the C-rank skill ‘Dwarven Weapon Crafting’ into proficiency experience?]

What’s this again?

Suddenly, I remembered a post I saw on the internet. A post that said crafting skills could be converted into proficiency experience and applied to higher-level skills. If that was true, then the Dreton’s Equipment Crafting I just acquired was the same type of skill as the Dwarven Weapon Crafting I was learning.

“Hmm, convert.”

[Ding!~ The level of the S-rank skill ‘Dreton’s Equipment Crafting’ has increased by 3.]

[Strength increases by 15, Stamina increases by 15, and Skill increases by 30.]

“3?”

No way, my Weapon Crafting skill is level 10, and it only increased by 3 levels?! It was an absurd situation, but I tried to calm down and checked the acquired skill.

[S-rank Dreton’s Equipment Crafting Effects] (LV4)

━When crafting, basic quality 60 → 65 effect.

━When crafting, special quality 3 → 4 effect.

━When crafting, applies Skill as additional quality.

━When crafting, 11 → 11.5% chance to craft perfect equipment.

━When crafting perfect equipment, additional quality 40 → 45 effect.

━When crafting perfect equipment, additional special quality 6 → 8 effect.

━When crafting perfect equipment, 5.4 → 5.6% chance for crafting level +5 effect.

━When crafting, equipment durability 6 → 8 additional effect.

━When crafting, 1 to 3 random enhancement effects.

━Hammering limit 250 times.

“……Still, it’s good.”

Even though it’s level 4, it’s better than the level 10 skill I painstakingly raised. Especially the hammering limit of 250 times. This meant that there was no equipment I couldn’t create.

“Well, I guess it’s fortunate I got at least one skill.”

Honestly, I didn’t think I would acquire an S-rank skill. But since it appeared like this, it was both amazing and joyful. After checking the skill, I decided to log out.

“Log out.”

[Logging out.]

[Once again, in the streets illuminated by Twilight……]

“Phew.”

By the way, did I spend 5 hours using Random Skillbooks? It was fortunate that it wasn’t a waste of time. I still have one Random Skillbook left, but I didn’t want to push myself any further today.

It would be a different story if I didn’t get any skills.

‘Let’s wash up first.’

After carelessly taking off my sweat-soaked clothes, I finished a quick shower and drank a glass of cold water from the refrigerator.

‘I’m really tired.’

Regardless of acquiring the S-rank skill, I shook my head at the aftereffects of opening Skillbooks for several hours and sat in front of the computer as usual. I could easily overlook the aftereffects since I had already anticipated them.

[How to increase Enhancement success rate.]

[Content: I finally figured out the secret to the Enhancement success rate. The answer is the Luck stat. When I raised my Luck to 20, the Enhancement success rate, which was 50%, increased to 51%. It’s a 2% increase. After calculating, it seems the Enhancement success rate increases by 1% for every 10 Luck. Perhaps if your Luck is 1000, the +1 Enhancement success rate will be 100%. However, the +2 Enhancement success rate would then be 90%. Therefore, when enhancing, I recommend obtaining the Luck stat.]

‘Huh? Luck?’

So there was a Luck stat in Twilight.

Also, it seems to increase the existing probability by a percentage. Otherwise, there would be no reason for the +2 Enhancement success rate to be 90%. However, this 90% probability was also based on having 1000 Luck, so it was practically impossible.

“Is 1000 Luck even a possible stat?”

Of course, it’s possible if you acquire all 20 skills as Luck skills. No, is it just possible? Your Luck could increase by several thousand. Even with around 3000 Luck, you could succeed in enhancing up to +4 with a 100% success rate.

‘Besides……’

Didn’t the fairy Noah, whom I met during the tutorial, say that there was even a skill that increased the Enhancement success rate? If that skill were to be released, countless players would probably try enhancing.

“I don’t know if that’s good or bad.”

Let’s read the next post.

[Regarding the durability of items that failed Enhancement.]

[Content: Due to the high cost of Enhancement Stones, I couldn’t conduct many experiments and only tried enhancing five times. Among them, all but one failed. Damn it. Anyway, after failing like that, I think I know how much durability is reduced. Simply put, my durability was reduced by 17, 15, 14, and 23. Based on this, I guess the durability reduction when an Enhancement Stone fails is between 10 and 30. Also, when the durability is completely depleted, the item is automatically destroyed. If you want to enhance, do it on items with durability above 30.

These were my tips on Enhancement.]

“It’s a good tip, but……”

It’s definitely a good tip. Doesn’t it mean that if you enhance items with durability above 30, you don’t have to worry about them breaking? However, it was a meaningless tip for me.

[Skills are important for getting close to NPCs.]

[Content: Do you want to get close to an NPC? Then learn the skills that the NPC is learning. You don’t have to think too hard about it. If you want to get close to a magician, learn magic skills. If you want to get close to a knight, learn swordsmanship skills. By learning similar skills to the NPC, you can get close to them more easily.]

‘It’s not wrong.’

I was also able to increase my Favorability with Deron through crafting skills. Did I raise my Favorability by 58 by crafting 58 Soul-Infused Spears? Including the additional Favorability, it was 61.

The reward for that Favorability was a recommendation letter that allowed me to enter the Royal Palace.

Anyway, next post.

[Block monster attacks with your weapon.]

[Content: The system in this game is amazing. While you take damage even when blocking with a shield, you take no damage when blocking with a weapon. So I fight by parrying with my weapon. If you fight well, you can hunt monsters without taking a single hit.

These were my own tips.]

‘There are people who post things like this as tips.’

Obviously, I know this too. How could I not know after fighting so many times? However, the reason I don’t use this method is simple. First, my defense is so high that I don’t feel the need to. Second, the way I use the sword is to aim for the opening created after blocking with a shield.

‘But what about other people?’

My defense is high enough that this tip is meaningless to me, but not everyone else has high defense like me.

Suddenly curious about other people’s reactions, I turned my attention to the comments below.

[Wow~ great tip.]

[Durability RIP lol.]

[Giving up on repair costs!]

[What does durability RIP mean?]

[If you block by swinging your weapon, you don’t take damage, but your durability decreases significantly. Conversely, if you successfully attack without clashing weapons, you can save durability.]

[A method that people without money can’t use.]

“This is new information.”

It seems like durability decreases rapidly when weapons clash. However, since you don’t take damage, there are both advantages and disadvantages. I don’t know which is better for now, but it seems like blocking with a weapon would be good in emergencies.

“Hmm.”

Anyway, after looking through various information, I realized it was time to log back in. What should I do this time? I didn’t feel like using Random Skillbooks again because I had used up too much energy earlier.

What’s left is leveling up skills……

“Sigh, crafting skill.”

It’s good that I got an S-rank skill. It’s good, but it’s only level 4. Thinking about raising it back to level 10 made my head throb.

Okay, let’s put crafting aside and level up Phantom Shift first.

I didn’t want to use Intuition, so what was left was Phantom Shift. After roughly deciding on my play direction, I immediately got into the capsule. Also, to equip the ring in my Item Storage, I needed to raise Elsyke’s Phantom Shift to level 4.

[May you find what you desire in the streets illuminated by Twilight……]

‘Level 4 shouldn’t take too long.’

I was the one who raised the Weapon Crafting skill to level 10 in just one day. Elsyke’s Phantom Shift wouldn’t be any different. If I just put in the time……

[Guild Master ‘Aizen’ has requested a Guild Quest.]

[The requested Guild Quest is ranked E+.]

[All Emperor Guild members who receive this message can participate in the Guild Quest.]

[Would you like to participate?]

“Huh?”

A Guild Quest?

I didn’t know what this Guild Quest was. But I could tell it was a quest related to the guild.

‘Should I participate?’

After briefly thinking about it, I shook my head.

If they had told me beforehand, it would be a different story, but since they requested a Guild Quest without any prior notice, I didn’t feel the need to participate. And I didn’t think there would be any problems with the Guild Quest even without me.

“Decline.”

[You have declined the Guild Quest.]

They’ll manage on their own.

Thinking that far, I slowly moved out of town and checked my current skill list.

[S-rank Dreton’s Equipment Crafting] (LV4)

[F-rank Ore Mining] (LV5)

[F-rank Strong Strike] (LV3)

[F-rank Iron Ingot Smelting] (LV5)

[S-rank Jayer’s Guardian Shield] (LV6)

[F-rank Basic Shield Training] (LV7)

[F-rank Shield Bash] (LV1)

[E-rank Spinning Strike] (LV3)

[D-rank Battle Recovery] (LV5)

[A-rank Giant’s Sprint] (LV9)

[S-rank Elsyke’s Phantom Shift] (LV1)

[D-rank Steadfast Defense] (LV3)

‘Only Giant’s Sprint is level 9.’

It’s even the highest. Should I say that there are more skills I need to level up than I thought? It seemed like I would have to work hard for several days to raise all of them. Moreover, the fact that there were still 8 skills I needed to learn made me sad.

Just how long will it take to learn them all?

‘If I could just get A~B rank skills from Random Skillbooks, I could fill it up quickly.’

Unfortunately, the problem was that I had no intention of doing that at all.
