[Ding!~ You have acquired ‘Highest Grade Weapon Scroll’!]
“Oh.”
It really exists.
I was hoping it would come out, but if I could get items just by thinking about them, there would be no item in the world I couldn’t get.
So, I didn’t expect much, but actually seeing it like this made me feel a bit dazed and happy.
[Highest Grade Weapon Scroll] (Rare)
Description: A scroll that can be used on all weapons. When used, a specific effect is granted.
*Restricted Stats reduced by 40%.
“Tsk.”
The scroll I checked with excitement had a useless effect, contrary to my expectations.
Restricted Stats reduction?
I wish it was an accessory scroll, not a weapon scroll……
‘Wait, what if it was an accessory scroll?’
I could equip the legendary item, Eternal Life, Arua.
Arua’s Restricted Stats are level 200.
If I use the scroll here to reduce it by 40%, the Restricted Stats will be reduced to level 120, and since my current level is also 120, I can definitely equip it.
“But what about this scroll?”
Of course, this weapon scroll is useless.
Should I just keep it?
Even though the weapon scroll might be useless now, I had a feeling that I might need it later if I get a legendary weapon. So, I decided to put it in the bank and took out a Return Scroll.
[Using Return Scroll.]
‘The problem is how to get an accessory scroll.’
And it can’t just be any scroll.
I definitely needed a Rare grade scroll.
I don’t know how effective Magic grade scrolls are, but they would inevitably be inferior to Rare grade scrolls.
Also, I thought it would be faster to equip legendary items if I tried to get a Rare grade scroll even if it was a little harder, rather than using a Magic grade scroll and leveling up later. So, I decided to try and get a Rare grade scroll no matter what.
‘Well, it will be hard to get it right away since it was patched today.’
Thinking that, I came out to the living room and saw Yua and Sina, who were already logged in.
“Ah, you logged in early.”
“Not that early. But by the way, why is Sina like that?”
It’s about 11 o’clock now, so it’s not that early.
But more than that, I was worried about Sina, who was sitting with a look of mixed worry and annoyance, so I asked about it, and Yua answered with an awkward laugh.
“It seems like Sina’s younger brother is pestering her to do something related to today’s patch.”
‘Younger brother?’
Yua’s words reminded me of a conversation I had with Sina before.
I vaguely remember her saying she had a younger brother who claimed to have discovered the best combination in Twilight.
However, judging from Sina’s expression, that combination seemed to have been a bust.
‘He should have focused on one thing.’
You don’t have to look far; even looking at Aizen or the executives, there were no hybrid characters who used various skills.
I ended up with shield combat, summoning, and even crafting, but that was only possible because of the S-rank skill. Otherwise, there’s a high chance I would have focused on one thing as well.
“I don’t know what it is, but can’t you just do it for him?”
“I heard he asked for various scrolls…… It seems like it’s not easy.”
“Scrolls drop even when you hunt field monsters, so it shouldn’t be that difficult.”
I said, recalling the post I saw on the bulletin board before logging in, and Sina let out a long sigh and responded.
“It wouldn’t matter if it was just any scroll. I could just give him something I got by chance. But he wants me to get one with magic attack power as a percentage.”
“Percentage?”
Is there one that increases it by percentage?
“He seems to have seen it somewhere. He’s been bothering me about it for two hours today.”
‘Hmm.’
I left Sina to her lament and thought about the scroll for a moment.
‘If there’s one that increases attack power by percentage, there must be one for defense as well, right?’
The damage of my attack skills, Giant’s Sprint and Thunder Strike, increases proportionally to my defense.
Also, since I currently have no means to significantly increase my defense, I couldn’t help but be interested in the percentage scroll Sina just mentioned.
‘Let’s check the Cash Transaction Window first.’
I wasn’t sure if percentage scrolls actually existed, so I opened the Cash Transaction Window and looked for scrolls.
If there was a defense percentage scroll and it was cheap, I would buy it without hesitation, but I was greeted by scrolls listed at unexpectedly high prices.
[High-Grade Weapon Scroll] (Magic)
[Starting Bid: 200,000]
[Current Bid: 250,000]
[Remaining Time: 5 hours 27 minutes 18 seconds]
‘……That’s not cheap.’
Just in case, I clicked to see what kind of scroll it was, and it said ‘Recovery Skill 2% Increase’.
It wasn’t magic attack power or defense, but it was a percentage scroll.
Come to think of it, the Restricted Stats scroll I got today was also a percentage scroll.
‘But really, is there none?’
I continued searching with that thought and found exactly two defense scrolls.
The prices were 300,000 won and 400,000 won, respectively.
I couldn’t understand why the price of a scroll that only increased it by 2% was so high, so I couldn’t bring myself to buy it and just stared at it for a while. Meanwhile, the price of the scroll kept going up.
“But aren’t you going to level up your crafting skill today?”
“Yes, I’m done. I’ll make you a great weapon once you bring the materials.”
I didn’t mention that I had already reached level 30.
I thought there was no need to tell her something she would find out anyway when I made her the weapon.
Because of that, I was curious to see how the weapon I made with all my effort would turn out.
Maybe its attack power alone would surpass legendary grade?
‘Huh?’
While I was thinking about scrolls and crafting, I suddenly saw Sina moving her lips and talking to someone.
Presumably, it was her younger brother.
The conversation didn’t last long, but seeing Sina’s frown deepen, it seemed like it wasn’t a pleasant one.
“What’s wrong?”
Yua asked just in time, so Sina briefly explained the conversation she just had.
“He’s coming over to the Harpe Empire.”
“So what?”
“Because we’ll run into him in the game.”
Looking at Sina as she said that, it seemed more like she was annoyed rather than disliked him.
‘Anyway, it looks like Yua and Sina are going to meet that younger brother.’
Once they left, I was thinking of trying out crafting.
I was curious to see how great a weapon would be if I made it using the added effects, which allowed me to craft weapons that matched the materials even without a recipe, along with my title and Intuition.
“Ah, Rudin-nim, do you want to come with us?”
“Can I come too?”
If Sina had mentioned me, there would be no problem even if I said I would go.
But I didn’t think Sina, who was annoyed even at the mention of him coming to the Harpe Empire, would have mentioned me, so I asked about it, and after a brief moment of contemplation, Sina said,
“It would be annoying, but there wouldn’t be a problem.”
Indeed, if the attention was on me, Sina would be a little more free.
However, I wanted to experiment with the crafting skill first, so I decided to decline.
“Unfortunately, I have something to do. You two go ahead.”
“Something to do? Then there’s no helping it.”
Sina nodded nonchalantly at my refusal and went outside with Yua.
Left alone, I decided to buy some Magic grade materials from the still-open Cash Transaction Window and try making a proper weapon.
“Title Change. Legendary Craftsman.”
I bought the materials from the Cash Transaction Window, so some money was spent, but they weren’t that great materials, so they only cost 10,000-20,000 won each.
I could probably buy them much cheaper with gold.
However, I was too lazy to go around gathering materials, so I bought only the cheapest Magic grade materials and changed my title before crafting a weapon using Intuition.
Clang- Clang━
My Skill stat was already 430, so I could have finished it with one hammer strike, but I wanted to achieve a Great Success, so I kept hammering away, and soon I was able to make the anvil glow gold.
“Phew, done.”
[+2 Master’s Black Blade has been completed.]
Perhaps because I added a lot of Black Iron to the materials, the weapon was completed with the name Black Blade.
Well, the name didn’t really matter anyway.
I found more meaning in the fact that a specific weapon was created without a recipe, so I finally checked its stats.
[+2 Master’s Black Blade] (Magic)
Description: The work of a craftsman who has surpassed his limits, ‘Rudin’. This weapon, made with all his might by appropriately mixing various materials, including Black Iron, contains his very soul.
Attack Power: 571 (+99) Magic Attack Power: 113 (+19)
Durability: 300/300
*Darkness attribute increased by 1%.
‘This is about it.’
It was impressive to see.
Even though it was a weapon made with materials that cost only 10,000-20,000 won each because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, it turned out better than expected.
If I gathered only Rare grade materials and made a weapon with determination, I thought the attack power would be over 1,000, but Rare grade materials were so expensive that it was difficult to experiment with them recklessly.
If I could resell the crafted weapons, I wouldn’t hesitate to make them, but since that’s blocked now, I thought I’d have to wait until Yua brought the materials.
“But what about this sword?”
Since I can’t resell it, there’s only one thing left to do.
Thinking of that one method, I took out the Infinity Sword with a heavy heart and absorbed the newly made Black Blade into it.
[Infinity Sword has absorbed the weapon.]
[Attack Power increases by 2.]
[Magic Attack Power increases by 1.]
‘Oh.’
Perhaps because I fed it a good weapon, the stats increased by a total of 3.
Usually, the longswords I fed it only increased the attack power by 1 at most.
Or the health by 10.
[Infinity Sword] (Rare)
Description: A sword that has grown by absorbing numerous weapons. However, it has not yet reached its full potential.
Attack Power: 648 Magic Attack Power: 22
Durability: ∞
*Health increased by 2,770.
*Sword skill damage increased by 19%.
*Can grow by absorbing weapons.
*Cannot be enhanced.
‘It’s still growing……’
Why do I feel empty just looking at it?
Well, if you disregard the number of weapons I’ve poured into this Infinity Sword, it’s a pretty decent weapon.
It has high attack power, increases health considerably, and even boosts skill damage.
But compared to a +10 Rare weapon, it felt a bit lacking.
Honestly, if I had sold the longswords I fed into this sword, I could have made countless +15 weapons.
‘Really, if only this didn’t have infinite durability.’
Even so, the biggest advantage of this sword was its infinite durability.
Usually, when weapons clash, they don’t take damage, but their durability is significantly reduced. However, with the Infinity Sword, there’s no need to worry about that, no matter how much it clashes.
‘By the way, can other people grow this Infinity Sword?’
The Infinity Sword’s stats increased by a total of 3 even after absorbing the Black Blade I just made.
I don’t know for sure if it only increases with enhanced weapons or if it doesn’t increase with weapons below a certain level, but I bought a store-bought weapon along with iron ingots before, just in case, but that weapon didn’t increase any stats.
If, as I suspected, the stats only increase with enhanced weapons, it seems like it would be an item that others would only use for defense.
‘Anyway, judging from its current growth, it seems like it would be meaningless even if it became legendary grade.’
Should I just lend it to Jaehoon?
Remembering that he didn’t get a single weapon from the quest I gave him to help him out a bit after joining the Emperor Guild, I even considered lending him this weapon.
Whatever weapon he has, it wouldn’t be better than the Infinity Sword.
Knock- Knock━
“……?”
Suddenly, I heard someone knocking on my door.
