Owner of Twilight Intuition – Chapter 232

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑𝟐

Today, as usual, I logged into the Twilight homepage and noticed that for some reason, there were various patches.

It had been almost a month since the last patch.

‘Well, at least they’re working.’

I thought they were just sitting around making money.

Anyway, I decided to check out each patch one by one.

[Scrolls that can add effects to equipment will be added.]

[Content: Scrolls are a kind of enhancement option that adds specific effects to equipment. Previously, the only ways to enhance equipment were Enhancement Stones and Enchanting, but due to many requests saying that was insufficient, we have added scrolls.

As a note, these scrolls have no chance of failure, but can only be applied once. Even if you use scrolls repeatedly, the effects will only be overwritten, not stacked, so please use them carefully.]

‘Insufficient with just enhancement?’

I pondered what this meant, and only after thinking from the perspective of other players, not myself, could I understand.

Enhancement in Twilight is definitely good.

It increases all stats and even adds enhancement options.

But that only applies to those who can enhance like me. Others would only wear down the durability, and definitely wouldn’t even dream of enhancing beyond +10.

Moreover, how expensive are the Enhancement Stones?

Magic-grade Enhancement Stones are relatively easy to obtain and cheap, but the next tier, Rare Enhancement Stones, cost 200~300 cash each.

‘Thanks to that, I spent quite a bit of money enhancing legendary items.’

Compared to that, the scrolls patched in today had a 100% success rate, so it seemed like a patch that almost all players would welcome.

‘But what kind of scrolls are they?’

Just in case, I decided to go to the bulletin board and search.

There was a possibility that someone quick might have already obtained a scroll and uploaded a picture of it.

And as I expected, there was a post with significantly higher views compared to other posts.

[Today’s patched scrolls!]

[Content: This is a scroll I got this morning while hunting some monsters in the field. Judging by the location I obtained it, it seems like it will drop from all monsters. For now, here are the scrolls.]

Reading it, it said the scroll was obtained in the field.

If it’s obtained from field monsters, wouldn’t it drop from just about any monster?

Also, below the post, there was a picture of what appeared to be a scroll.

[Weapon Scroll] (Normal)

Description: A scroll that can be used on any weapon. When used, a specific effect is granted.

*Increases Attack Power by 10.

‘That’s incredibly simple.’

Moreover, it even has a grade.

Surely scrolls don’t go up to Legend grade, do they?

Anyway, seeing as it grants additional effects, it was like giving existing players a means to become a little bit stronger.

‘And since it can only be applied once per equipment……’

It seemed like it would be best to obtain scrolls of as high a grade as possible.

Perhaps those high grades would drop from raids?

Since most Rare grades would drop from raids, I recalled the remaining raid bosses and soon thought of Beksha, the Symbol of Fear, the bear.

‘Right, I’ll try to catch it when I log in.’

The place where you can meet Beksha requires climbing thorny vines, so there was little worry of the path being discovered.

So, thinking that I could meet Beksha just by going there, I decided to try catching it as soon as I logged in today and clicked on the next patch note.

[A Mercenary System will be added to the Quest Guild.]

[Content: Various quests received from the Quest Guild have a party limit. If the limit is 5 people, this newly patched Mercenary System allows you to add one more person, enabling a total of 6 people to proceed with the quest.

However, while mercenaries can participate in quests any number of times, they have the drawback of not being able to receive quest completion rewards.

Now, don’t give up on difficult quests; hire a mercenary and complete them!]

“……?”

What does this mean?

Reading it carefully again, it seemed like it meant you could participate in quests requested by other parties as a mercenary.

The problem was that you couldn’t receive rewards.

If you couldn’t receive rewards, there would be no reason to participate, but looking closely, it said ‘quest completion rewards,’ so it seemed like the rewards obtained from catching boss monsters wouldn’t be affected.

‘Uh…… Thinking about it that way, I’m getting the gist of it.’

There’s no limit on the number of times you can participate as a mercenary.

That is, you could continuously hunt boss monsters that appear during quests.

‘But in the end, it means sharing the boss monster rewards, would there be a reason to use mercenaries?’

Maybe if you were doing A~B rank quests, but otherwise, it seemed like a nearly meaningless patch.

[New types of skills will appear.]

[Content: While many types of skills already exist, we have added new skills to provide players with more diverse options.

The added skills are [Song], [Performance], [Dance], as well as [Curse], [Ritual], and [Tattoo].

Naturally, all these skills exist from F~S rank and can also be acquired through Random Skillbooks.

However, you will have to discover the proper acquisition methods yourselves.]

“New skills?”

It seemed like a total of six new skill types had been added.

But weren’t there things like Performance already?

‘I definitely don’t remember……’

Since I didn’t remember seeing them until now, it seemed certain that they were newly added.

But I wondered if anyone would acquire these skills at this point.

They should have added them from the start.

Not particularly concerned, unlike with other patches, I moved on to the next patch content, but it only contained something closer to an announcement than a patch.

‘Well then, shall I log in since I’ve seen the patch notes?’

As a side note, I hadn’t been matching login times with Yua for the past few days because I was focused on crafting skills.

Since I had to focus on crafting even if I logged in, we decided to log in freely for a while, and thus, despite the somewhat early hour, I decided to log in and immediately entered the capsule.

[May you find what you desire on the streets illuminated by Twilight……]

Logging into Twilight, I headed to the Teleportation Device to catch Beksha as I had initially planned.

I figured I could get there quickly if I went to a nearby village and then flew on the Griffin.

‘Come to think of it, I’m glad I sealed the Griffin.’

Even without the Griffin, getting to where Beksha is wouldn’t be a problem, but the fact that it made things more convenient was undeniable.

‘Anyway, Beksha……’

Should I try catching it without summoning Ust this time?

With that thought, I used the Teleportation Device and immediately summoned the Griffin to fly to where Beksha was.

* * *

“Kuooooong……”

Arriving at the location where he was, riding the griffin, thankfully, he appeared as if he had been waiting, and so, as I clashed with Beksha, it wasn’t even 10 minutes before I could see him gradually crumbling.

[Raid Boss Monster. Beksha, the Symbol of Fear, has fallen.]

“……That was incredibly easy.”

At the very least, I had thought that I wouldn’t lose, but even more so than that, he collapsed without being able to do anything.

‘Well, no, it wasn’t easy.’

When I lightly clashed with him in a scouting match, as expected of a raid boss, over 1,000 damage came through even when blocked, and the skills he occasionally used were not to be ignored.

However, by appropriately combining Guardian Shield, Phantom Shift, and finally, even Thunder Strike, I was able to defeat him smoothly without any particular difficulty.

[Congratulations! You have achieved the highest contribution in the raid, so you can increase the level of your desired skill by one stage.]

[Please select one skill to level up.]

“Huh? Ah, right.”

There was this.

The reward you receive for achieving the highest contribution.

Since I was the only one who defeated him this time as well, naturally, as soon as I confirmed this reward, I thought of the crafting skill I had worked hard to raise.

And just in time, the level of Equipment Crafting was 29.

I was surprised by the fact that this skill, which I had diligently practiced with Intuition for success for exactly 22 days whenever I had time, still hadn’t reached level 30. So, putting aside all other skills, I decided to raise Equipment Crafting first.

“Dreton’s Equipment Crafting.”

[Ding!~ The level of S-rank skill ‘Dreton’s Equipment Crafting’ has increased.]

[Stats Strength 5, Stamina 5, Skill 10 increase.]

“Ha, the day I reach level 30 finally arrives.”

There was a time when I really thought the system was blocking it because it wouldn’t level up, to the point of cursing.

But now that I’ve reached level 30 like this, I even feel like all the hardships I’ve gone through are disappearing one by one.

[Congratulations! You have raised the S-rank skill, Dreton’s Equipment Crafting, to the maximum level.]

[Dreton’s Equipment Crafting, which has reached the maximum level (30), transcends its limits.]

[Additional effects are added.]

[Ding!~ From now on, the effects of Dreton’s Equipment Crafting will greatly increase each time the level rises.]

“Huh?”

I thought the skill would end at level 30, but it seemed to be different.

I read the message that appeared as if waiting, and soon decided to check how Equipment Crafting had changed.

[S-Rank Dreton’s Equipment Crafting Effects] (Transcendence+2)

━When crafting, Basic Quality 200→240 effect.

━When crafting, Special Quality 30→40 effect.

━When crafting, Skill is applied as additional quality.

━When crafting, 26→30% chance to craft a Perfect weapon.

━When crafting, Perfect weapon’s Quality 180→200 additional effect.

━When crafting, Perfect weapon’s Special Quality 60→70 additional effect.

━When crafting, Perfect weapon’s 11→13% chance of Crafting Level +5 effect.

━When crafting, weapon’s Durability 60→70 additional effect.

━When crafting, 13→15 random Enhancement effect.

(New) Can craft weapons suitable for materials even without a recipe.

(New) A name is engraved on all crafted items.

━Hammering limit 250 times.

“……Crazy.”

The part that should have been displayed as LV30 was now ‘Transcendence’.

Furthermore, the original basic quality increased by 5 per level, but now, for some reason, it increased by 20, resulting in a total increase of 40.

However, this part could be overlooked as it wasn’t a loss.

The problem was the phrase that appeared at the end, saying that a name would be engraved. It made me fully realize what would happen the moment I listed the crafted weapon on the Cash Transaction window.

‘Even so, this isn’t right!’

I decided to check this phrase properly, so I took out the hammer, anvil, and iron ingot from my Item window and immediately started crafting.

“Skill Use. Dreton’s Equipment Crafting.”

[Using the S-rank skill ‘Dreton’s Equipment Crafting’.]

[Select the weapon to craft……]

“Longsword.”

Clang!━

Without needing to see any messages, I selected the longsword and immediately hammered it to completion.

[+2 Craftsman’s Longsword has been completed.]

“……”

It should have been a success, a great success, or just a longsword, but looking at the message, something was added in front.

Craftsman’s Longsword.

Seeing that, I took my eyes off the message and looked at the completed longsword.

[+2 Craftsman’s Longsword] (Magic)

Description: The work of the craftsman ‘Rudin’ who has surpassed his limits. Although made with simple materials, due to his skills that have transcended limits, a weapon beyond the materials has been completed.

Attack Power: 174 (+30) Magic Attack Power: 0

Durability: 230/230

*Attack Power increased by 3%.

“Wow, seriously.”

To think it would backstab me like this.

Looking at the word Rudin clearly written in the description, I almost threw the longsword, regardless of it being level 30.

The money I’ve earned so far by selling longswords has been substantial, but now it’s difficult to do so.

‘Or should I just list it openly?’

What would happen if I listed this on the Cash Transaction window?

I thought about it for a moment.

People would be clamoring about the identity of this Rudin guy, Aizen would know that the S-rank craftsman he’s been looking for is me, and people would be asking me to make weapons from here and there……

“……”

Thinking that far, I decided to give up.

If I wanted to make money, there were plenty of ways other than the crafting skill.

After calming down a bit and thinking rationally, there was no need to despair just because one crafting skill was blocked.

“Ah.”

Instead of doing this, I should check the scroll first.

I was briefly distracted by the level 30 Equipment Crafting, but my original goal was to obtain a Rare grade scroll.

Fortunately, I managed to remember that goal and scrolled up the message to check if the scroll had arrived.
