My Children Swarm the Cosmos – Chapter 167

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔𝟕: 𝐖𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫 (3)

Amidst the struggle between the Quakacor and the Reptured to buy time in the Andromeda Galaxy, the humans of the human galaxy and the Chimeraz have to progress with the help of the Believers.

In the conference room were the holograms of Kreion, the Belivers, and Lopez.

The Believer says to Kreion and Lopez,

“The Ycloquasar controls dark energy.”

It was information gained from the noble sacrifice of certain people.

“Do you know the dark energy you know?”

“No. The fact that we mentioned the term dark energy means we don’t know. However, we can speculate and respond through phenomenological observations.”

Lopez, who was listening there, stepped forward.

“It seems like a different concept from the dark energy that humans like me know. Then. . . . If we apply the material of the new substance to all our weapons, like the Believer controlled the accretion disk of the mechanized black hole, it seems like we’ll at least have a fighting chance.”

In order to respond to the unknown force, we need to use an unknown material. Since the Ycloquasar is using gravity as a means to weaponize, the Believer’s material and technological prowess is the only thing that can counter that weapon.

“Believer. Are your physical bodies made of a high-molecular material made of new substances?”

“Yes. However, it will be difficult for you humans or the Chimeraz to apply the new substance we have perfected to your weapons.”

“Why is it difficult?”

“If you apply that, you will no longer be human or Chimeraz.”

Their eyes widened. It was an unexpected answer.

In other words, it means becoming a weapon that is neither a machine nor a cell.

Naturally, if the Believer’s new substance is applied, there will be changes in the existing communication network or wave network, and it will be necessary to completely overturn the lineage of traits and technologies that humans or Chimeraz have been applying to their races.

Lopez’s weapons will cease to be an army of artificial intelligence, and Kreion’s legion will cease to be a living being.

“Lopez. Kreion. This is something you have to choose.”

So Lopez and Kreion were put at a crossroads.

If they’re not prepared to change the very foundation of their race for power, they won’t be able to even raise a fist against the Ycloquasar. However, even if they manage to survive that way, can that be called the survival of humans or the Chimeraz?

There is no convenient option of applying it to only a portion of the race. Even if it’s applied to the entire race, it’s uncertain whether they’ll be able to stand against the Ycloquasar.

For the time being, there are races that have already demonstrated such choices. The most representative one is the Vehlpciaarct.

Thus, Lopez thought about accepting it as he recalled those extinct beings.

“The Vehlpciaarct used to be living creatures, but they changed the identity of their race to survive. We can do it too.”

“Have you already forgotten the end of the Vehlpciaarct that were?”

“It won’t be a flawed change like the Vehlpciaarct. Humans and Chimeraz will survive by becoming like the Believers.”

“Then why did you make me?”

“What?”

Kreion glared at Lopez.

“It was you who planned the Chimeraz project after realizing the limitations of humans. Didn’t someone from our world judge that there are things that you and humans can’t do and that someone has to do it, and created the Chimeraz?”

Lopez had said before.

➖I couldn’t give up being human and become something else. If that happens, bad things will definitely happen because of me. Definitely.

I don’t know what he went through more than 20 years ago.

However, Lopez must have realized something from what he went through. About the danger of changing himself and changing his race.

“You said you cannot become something other than a human.”

“. . . .”

“The fact that you changed your beliefs so simply. . . . . It’s sad.”

Lopez couldn’t refute it.

That proved the gap that had formed between Lopez and Kreion without them realizing it.

“But there’s no other way. They’re a race that tears even the Believers apart. Even if we all have the same level of military power as the Believers, there’s no guarantee that we’ll win against an enemy we can’t be sure of.”

“You don’t have to become like the Believers just to have the same level of military power as the Believers.”

Kreion hit the nail on the head of this conflict.

There is a basis for hitting the nail on the head.

Lopez and the Believer noticed that he had a basis.

“How are you going to do that?”

“There is a race that recently joined the Hive Alliance unofficially.”

Kreion said so and turned his gaze to the Believer.

“A body that can withstand the extreme environment of a black hole. We, the Chimeraz, have also been exploring the Local Group to gain and evolve such physical strength.”

They were probably races Lopez and the Believer weren’t interested in.

“There is a race that has developed unique abilities by living in the deep sea of the inner core. Their bodies also used new substances. It was a new substance that pursued the transcendence of life. If we graft the advanced new substance from the Believer’s technology and their special environment, we might be able to create a new material that can be immediately applied to the Chimeraz legion. It will be a material that can be applied to the Chimeraz’s body, a living being.”

Without having to overturn the existing racial identity, there was a race with a similar puzzle between the Chimeraz and the Believer.

“And once it’s complete, Lopez. You’ll be able to apply that strength to your humans and the army of artificial intelligence.”

“There was such a race?”

“Wait here. I’ll persuade them and bring them.”

🔷🔷🔷

Planet Petra in the Hecartra star system.

Intentionally created ultra-deep valleys were filled with seawater, creating very deep trenches. The depth is such that the boundary where the hot inner material of Petra, which serves as the core, touches the seawater and turns into rock.

In the deepest part of the trench, where even the light from the surface doesn’t reach and should be dark, was the civilization of a jellyfish race.

The structures of civilization are like seaweed that sprouted from new substances a little closer to the solid side from between the solid and liquid, and the light and energy of civilization are generated by the super-high temperature heat conduction and gas emitted by the inner matter of the planet.

The water temperature here is hot enough for humans to feel burned, and the water pressure is merciless enough to crush a tank like an aluminum can.

Still, if it’s a flying vehicle operating in space, it could come all the way here and be fine.

Kwoooowoooo. . . . .

A Euryale landed all the way to the civilization of the jellyfish race and lowered an Organic Pipe on top of a tall, seaweed-like structure.

Shortly after, Gats and the Elite escort entered the heart of Euryale. And behind Gats, a jellyfish followed.

“Go out for a while.”

Gats and the Elite escort nodded and stepped aside.

Thoom. . . . . Thoom. . . . .

Only the distinct throbbing of Euryale rang at a constant beat. In the middle of that, Kreion and the jellyfish faced each other.

“Are you aware of what is happening in the Local Group at this moment?”

The jellyfish shot sound waves by vibrating its tentacles.

It was an incomprehensible meaning to Kreion.

“Could you please say it in easier words?”

A little.

Understand.

“I would like you to come up to the conference room and join us in developing new substances.”

Question.

Intention.

“It is to fight against enemies who will annihilate all races in the Local Group.”

Fear.

“I’m scared too. Even the Believers felt fear, so who isn’t scared right now? Still, it’s better to join forces and fight than to just sit still like this.”

Defeat.

Annihilation.

Extinction.

. . . . .Seclusion.

“You won’t be able to breathe.”

Seclusion.

“You can’t hide anywhere against the Ycloquasar. Hiding deep in the deep sea, the way you jellyfish have been doing so far, doesn’t work against them.”

Fear.

“. . . Are you afraid that your existence will be known to the Ycloquasar? If that happens, the possibility of being found out and killed is greater. . . ?”

Affirmative.

‘You’re so inexperienced.’

It’s frustrating, but it’s understandable.

This race has never left their home planet, an ocean planet, and has only lived in the deep sea. Because they lived in their own isolated world, they didn’t even know about the existence of other races, let alone wars or exchanges with other races.

So they think that if they stay hidden deep in the sea like they’ve been doing so far, they’ll be safe in the future as well. That’s how their pure thought circuits work.

“If you don’t go out and fight and resist, all intelligent beings in the Local Group, including you, will die.”

Seclusion.

“I’m saying you’ll be caught even if you hide. How long do you think the deep sea will hide you?”

Fear.

Fear.

Fear.

“I’m not asking you to go to the front lines and fight with us. I just want to borrow your ability in high-molecular materials based on new substances.”

Question.

“We can research together, create weapons together, and then you can go back to the deep sea. The war will be fought by races with experience in war and weapons.”

Even so, the jellyfish continued to tremble with fear. It was terrified of any act of cooperation.

Kreion also found that pathetic.

“. . .Please help us.”

The jellyfish’s trembling didn’t stop.

Their entire lives. No, the entire history of their race has been lived in peace in an isolated world. These beings have been subjected to too many changes and threats.

In fact, if the Chimeraz hadn’t found them, this race would still be living quietly and carefree in the deep sea of that ocean planet. Then, when the Ycloquasar appeared, they would have continued to live well and only experienced a few minutes of fear before being neatly extinct.

So, Kreion, who dragged this jellyfish race out into the outside world, felt a strange sense of guilt and responsibility.

“We can’t all die like this. I’m asking you this on behalf of the New Universe Civilization Union and the Hive Alliance.”

The jellyfish will be in a difficult position.

Based on their past experiences, it would be safest for them to stay in the deep sea, but if Kreion asks them earnestly like this, they will have no choice but to be conflicted.

Because the entity called ‘Kreion’ is almost synonymous with the concept of ‘outside world’ to them.

“Please help us. The future of the Local Group could change depending on whether or not you help us.”

The jellyfish race was reclusive and preferred safety above all else.

🔷🔷🔷

“Believer. Have you ever talked to this race?”

“No. They don’t have the means to communicate.”

In the end, the jellyfish also came to the conference room.

“Don’t you even know the name of the race?”

“They are a race without a name. There might not have been a group other than them in their world, so a name to define themselves would have been unnecessary.”

The Believer said so and spoke to the jellyfish.

“The new substance synthesized from the body of your race is ‘life-friendly.’ We, the Chimeraz, will help you specialize this new substance for the Chimeraz so that it can be applied as a high-molecular material for armor.”

Lopez added an explanation.

“Jellyfish-nim. The Chimeraz need new materials that can respond to the expansion and contraction of space, sudden changes in gravity. It has to be a material with a very strong bonding structure, but also with self-repair and flexibility.”

🔷🔷🔷

The races of the Andromeda galaxy were on the verge of extinction. The sacrifice of 1160 fleets of the Reptured and the Quakacor succeeded in inducing the self-destruction of one of the Ycloquasar’s white spheres, but there were still dozens of white spheres.

After that, the Reptured created several mechanized black holes and swung the accretion disks, and the Quakacor tried to stop the Ycloquasar’s approach with an endlessly advancing legion.

However, the front lines of space defined by units of stars, planets, and regions were helplessly pushed back.

【The Drataiden are extinct.】

By now, the civilization of the Drataiden must have turned into a pile of burning ashes, with fallen tyrants and cogwheel weapons scattered like debris.

The third most powerful race in the Andromeda galaxy has just become extinct. Also, before that, several weak races had become extinct one after another. Even the primitive civilizations that have not yet been discovered must have perished.

So now, the forces defending the Andromeda galaxy are probably the legion gathered in the current capital star system of the Quakacor and the Reptured.

A single white sphere is rotating space at the outskirts of the star system. Hundreds of fleets are being swept away and erased every second. The number of Quakacor and the number of Reptured were so overwhelming that they filled most of the space called the star system, but the Ycloquasar was transcendent than that.

As the fleet battle was being miserably crushed, they even forced their way to the planetary surface.

The Quakacor legion on the colony fought against the Ycloquasar’s weapons.

The maggot-like weapon, made up of four spheres, blew up the legion by wielding blue lightning on a continental scale. The Parahtoria, who lived in symbiosis with the Quakacor in the colony, tried to revive the bodies of the Quakacor legion by attaching themselves to them, but it was already impossible because all the bodies were torn apart at the cellular level.

Jijiijijik! Jijiik. . . !

The maggot-like weapons marched towards the center of the colony where Empress Karcon was.

➖They know my location.

Empress Karcon is receiving all the waves of the Quakacor race. Perhaps the Ycloquasar is aware of the existence of an entity called Empress Karcon by tracking even such unique waves, and is now trying to attack the empress.

So the empress used herself as bait. It was a strategy that could be attempted knowing that the enemies were advancing in the direction she was in.

Jijiik. . . .

It was when the maggot-like weapons were passing over the blood of the legion.

➖Kill them. . . !

The area came back to life.

Connecting the waves instantaneously, awakening their spirits, and causing the ground itself, which the Ycloquasar must have judged to be mere organic matter, to rise as a single colony.

Chajajajajak!

Thanks to the amazing regenerative power of the Parahtoria and the amazing legion control of the empress, a colony arose in an instant. They were hundreds of meters tall tentacles that sprang up from the ground and destroyed the ground.

Kwaang! Kwaang! Kwaang!

The tentacles struck down the Ycloquasar’s maggot-like weapons. Of course, those weapons also caused blue lightning to burst around them, bursting the tentacles, but

Jijijijiijik!

Inside the tentacles were the Chimeraz’s black liquid and members of the Parahtoria.

The weapons, which instantly turned the living liquid upside down, began to carbonize their surfaces.

➖Excellent! Parahtoria!

➖We are the proud subordinate race of the Chimeraz.

At the same time, the Parahtoria infiltrated the enemies’ bonding structures and infected the weapons themselves like biological bombs of the Chimeraz.

➖When Ludwig-nim saw Shockphonia, he said that if the enemies’ weapons are too strong, don’t break them, but take them away.

The Ycloquasar’s weapons are too strong. So they physically break through and infiltrate to find a breakthrough and take them away. They find out their advanced technology, information, and purpose.

Whether the Ycloquasar was embarrassed, surprised, or indifferent then, no one knows.

Jjeojeojeok!!!

Colorful mycelia blossomed on the surface of the maggot-like weapons, and crimson tentacles swarmed like parasites.

➖I found out. They only have three types of weapons. Karcon-nim, please deliver this valuable information to the Chimeraz.

Kuguk. . . !

The weapons infected by the Parahtoria disintegrated on their own. It was not the intention of the Parahtoria, but the intention of the Ycloquasar. Even in the midst of this, they were dismantling their weapons so that their weapons would not be taken away.

➖The name of these weapons is Redefiner.

➖The name of that white sphere is War Harvester.

➖And the bipedal tank like the Crolr’s Colossus that hasn’t appeared yet is called Phenomenon Tuner.

➖There are no other weapons that the Ycloquasar operates other than those three types of weapons. . .

And then there was light.

🔷🔷🔷

Darkness seems to be coming.

➖Master. . . .

Kreion bit his lip so hard that he could hear the grinding sound.

He clenched his fists until blood came from his palms.

‘. . .Damn bastards.’

It’s better to bleed like this than to shed tears.

➖Empress Karcon. . . . . died. . . . .
