“Something like that.”
“Just a moment.”
A while later, the Gunsmith brought out a box of bullets and a box of holy water.
Oswald paid for them and put them all in his magic backpack.
“May you return alive.”
“Yes.”
In addition, he prepared a compass to find his way in the sewers, as well as dried food and jerky in case he had to spend a long time in the dungeon. He also packed various medicinal herbs and made some additional preparations.
Now that he had made all his preparations, it was time to move to find the dungeon. The dungeon was located in the sewers on the outskirts of Vatican City.
The Vatican’s sewers were connected to the nearby Rothern River. The sewers were large and wide enough for people to walk through, and since they were located underground in Vatican City, they were very large.
Because of that, scavenger-type monsters lived there. Typical examples were rat-men skaven, and Kobolds that were about the size of goblins with the appearance of wild dogs.
Of course, Vatican City managed the underground well, so there weren’t many of these monsters. This was because the Paladins regularly cleaned the sewers once a month.
Oswald, who had come to the outskirts, quickly entered the nearby slums to shake off the gaze that was following him. The slums were not a planned urban area, so the buildings were built haphazardly, and if you were not from there, you were likely to get lost.
Oswald took advantage of that and began to move quickly, and he was able to shake off his pursuer in no time. Of course, he had a feeling that he would be followed again if he left the slums, so he planned to go straight down to the sewers from here.
‘𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦.’
The slums were not without sewers, so he was able to enter the sewers easily. It was a place where all sorts of filth flowed, so the smell was terrible, but . . . he didn’t mind. The Plague Dungeon he was going to enter would smell even worse than this.
After following the direction of the compass for a while. . . he heard a commotion in the distance. When he listened carefully, he could hear the accent and voice of the skaven.
“I thought this would be easy. . . . . . . ”
“ #%@@#!#%! ”
Oswald and the three skaven he came face to face with.
He could hear the creatures muttering something, and soon he saw them draw the swords at their waists.
“Tsk. . . . . . . ”
Ta-ang!
He immediately pulled the trigger and blew a hole in one of the creature’s heads, then pushed the lever to reload and fired two more shots in a row.
They were about 160cm tall. . . they were ugly because they were rat-men. Moreover, the skaven were also heretics who served the Plague God Pleg.
If the skaven built an underground city in the sewers under the city, the city would be plagued. This was because of the Plague God’s totem that the skaven made.

After leaving the bodies of the skaven behind, he continued to move forward for a while. . . and finally, the Plague Chaos Dungeon appeared before Oswald’s eyes. It was still only a crack, but . . . if it burst, Vatican would probably be in great chaos.
Oswald immediately removed all the bullets from his gun and replaced them with consecrated silver bullets. Then, after taking a deep breath, he reached out toward the crack.
Tiring!

The place that appeared with a pure white light was an ancient city that had been ravaged by the plague and left in ruins. And countless zombies were walking around it. . . . . . .
He didn’t want to waste his bullets on such zombies, so he coated his great sword, which had been plated with silver in advance, with holy water and attached it to his gun.
He continued to move forward, skillfully dealing with the zombies. . . and finally, he found the Plague God Temple in the center of the city.
From here on out, undead monsters that were difficult to deal with with a bayonet would appear. Fortunately, the dungeon had not yet been broken, so there were no undead that were impossible to deal with.
“Still, it’s better to be careful. . . . . . . ”
He could probably summon Phoenix here and fight. The purification power of the upper-level fire spirit was the nemesis of the undead that carried the plague. That’s why he had obtained the Phoenix’s Bracelet first.
As soon as he entered the temple, a Skeleton Knight greeted him with a warm welcome. Judging from the surcoat with the Plague God Pleg’s crest on it, it seemed to be a Plague Paladin guarding the temple.
Ta-ang!
For the first time, a consecrated silver bullet was fired and hit the Skeleton Knight in the head. It was wearing a helmet, but there was no mask on its face, so the bullet was embedded right in its skull. Thanks to that, the Plague Paladin was engulfed in a pure white flame and turned to dust.
The Plague Paladin, who was said to be strong in the temple. . . but it was no match for the consecrated silver bullet.
However, the other Plague Paladins began to gather at the sound of the shot. One might not be difficult to deal with, but if there were several, it could be troublesome to deal with them all at once unless he had a rapid-fire gun.
“Whew. . . . . . . ”
Oswald caught his breath and began to clean up the creatures that were running toward him one by one. However, it became a little difficult to fight once he had used up all the loaded bullets.
Boooom!
The claymore wielded by the Plague Paladin, who had approached unnoticed, grazed his head. If he hadn’t ducked down after receiving a warning from his senses, his head would have been cut off.
Oswald lowered his posture and thrust his bayonet into the Plague Paladin’s chest and fired a consecrated silver bullet.
Bang! Whoosh!
A pure white flame burst forth and the Plague Paladin turned to dust.
