Magicless Extra: The Villain’s Survival Method – Chapter 46

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒𝟔: 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 (2)

“Haaaam. . . . . .”

Oswald was using the guest room with Battalion Commander Lorenzo. He yawned lazily as he sat by the window. In fact, he had become a little lazy since there was not much to worry about within the empire.

“I hope Britannia is as peaceful when we get there.”

“. . . . . .”

Unfortunately, Battalion Commander Lorenzo raised a flag. Oswald shuddered as he imagined what would happen when they went to Britannia and how he would be treated.

‘𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴-𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘢. . . . . .’

Oswald could think of three organizations that were particularly memorable among the organizations he knew.

There were the ‘Knights of Sin’, a group of seven black knights who worshipped the Lord of Sin, Diablo, one of the Five Great Evil Gods of Chaos. There were the ‘Evangelists of Discord’, who worshipped the Chaos God of Discord, Beliall, who was not one of the Five Great Evil Gods but was still a Chaos God. And there were the ‘Witches of Zion’, who worshipped the Chaos God of Curses, Hecate.

Of these, the most dangerous organization in terms of pure strength was the ‘Order of Sin’, which consisted of only seven people but each of whom was a diamond-ranked powerhouse.

However, although they were literally the most dangerous organization. . . surprisingly, they did not take the lead in trying to destroy the world or cause chaos.

‘𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦.’

Diablo was also the son of the creator god Chronos. To be exact, he was an illegitimate child, born to the first Chaos God, ‘Lilith’, who was known as the mother of all evil.

‘𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘨𝘰𝘥𝘴, 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘰 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘸𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭.’

In a word, there was no need for him to conquer the Century. Nevertheless, there was a reason why there were such worshippers of sin. It was to trample on other Chaos Gods who dared to challenge him.

There had already been one such case, and that was the Chaos God of Seduction, Lust. Lust had originally been one of the seven archduke demons of Sin, but after offering a world as a sacrifice, he ascended to become a Chaos God and took one of the five seats of the Great Evil Gods.

When Lust left, Diablo, who had lost one of the foundations of his power, the sin of lust, became weaker and spread his worshippers to many worlds to deter those who dared to do anything in vain.

Anyway, apart from the ‘Order of Sin’, the most dangerous force was the ‘Witch Society of Zion’. Originally called the ‘Zion Abbey’, it was a group of priestesses who worshipped Venus, the goddess of fertility, love, and children.

However, for some reason, they became corrupted and began to worship the evil god of curses, Hecate. They would simply go out into the world and spread curses whenever they felt like it. . . Their curses were not like ordinary diseases, but curses that made the body sick and gradually weakened it, eventually taking life.

They were a very dangerous group because they were secretive and indiscriminate in their killing, with no specific target. They were also difficult to track down, and even if they were tracked down, they often died before they could overcome the curse.

‘𝘐 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘢 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘬. . . 𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 100% 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘡𝘪𝘰𝘯.’

Even without that, Battalion Commander Lorenzo was raising a flag, so it was impossible to know what kind of trouble was coming. And now that the ‘Witch Society of Zion’ was involved. . . it was obvious how much blood would be shed.

Three more days passed. . . and finally, they passed through the territory of the northwestern margrave and arrived at the border of the Kingdom of Britannia.

There, the delegation received a brief check from the border guards of the Kingdom of Britannia and headed for Calais City. Then they boarded a ship again, crossed the Strait of Calais, landed in ‘London City’, and boarded a train from ‘London’ to ‘Birmingham’.

It took another three days from the border to Calais to get off the train.

“Whoo. . . . . . This is a journey that makes me realize once again that people should live on the ground.”

“Is this your first delegation, Battalion Commander Lorenzo?”

“I’ve been on a few. It’s just that this is the first time I’ve come this far from the Vatican.”

There were few opportunities to go on a pilgrimage because other churches of the nine divines were located in various parts of the imperial territory. For example, the Minerva Church was located in the Winchester Nation, which was located at the eastern end of the empire.

“I see.”

“What about Sir Oswald?”

“My home is so far away from the Vatican. . . I’ve been to the Great Desert and I don’t have any problems with this distance.”

“As expected. . . The paladins of the Order of the Holy Knights are different.”

“Anyway, it’s going to be more tiring from now on.”

While on the train, they were on a diplomatic train of the empire, so there were no other people on board, and there was nothing to worry about from the inside, unless there was an attack from outside.

However, now that they were in a completely foreign country and could mix with people who were not part of their group, there were more things to be nervous about.

“That’s right.”

Then, Oswald added, looking at the Order of Knights of Order who were wandering around here and there, forgetting their duty and sightseeing.

“I hope they don’t get in our way, even if they can’t help.”

Despite being knights, they were so focused on sticking to the saintess that the Vatican guards were unable to do their duties.

Later, people sent by the mayor of Calais City welcomed the saintess and began to guide her to the guest house of the mayor’s office. The ship could leave right away, but it was scheduled to stay here for two days to rest.

“Still, the mayor of Calais seems to have sent a lot of troops.”

Oswald felt relieved as he sensed the movement of troops here and there.

“No matter how autonomous the Vatican is, it is still a territory of the empire, and the saintess is also an imperial citizen, so they have no choice but to do their best to protect her.”

If they made a mistake, they would give the imperial expansionists a reason to invade.

Just as they were about to arrive at the mayor’s office. . . Oswald’s senses detected a strange sense of incongruity.

“Battalion Commander Lorenzo, something’s wrong.”

“Did you find anything?”

“I’ll be away for a moment, so please watch over my horse.”

“Yes, I will.”

Oswald then kicked off the floor and jumped up, landing on the roof of the building in one breath. Soon, he scanned the surroundings from the rooftop, sharpening his senses even more.

Soon, he detected a faint killing intent and looked at it to find unexpected beings.

‘𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦. . . 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴?’

They were wearing green long coats and green hunting caps and were armed with Piper B series. They seemed to be angry as they watched the saintess’ delegation. . . but they did not dare to touch her. No matter how crazy the liberal revolutionaries were. . . they were not stupid enough to mess with the Chronos Order, which had the largest following in western Titan.

‘𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵. . . . . .’

Around this time, the monarchy of the Kingdom of Britannia collapsed and a parliament was established by the liberal revolutionaries. Still, just in case, Oswald was wary of them and took out his magic communicator to contact Battalion Commander Lorenzo.

━Sir Oswald, have you confirmed what is going on?

“Liberal revolutionaries have been found on the rooftop of the yellow building 300 meters ahead on the left. They are watching the Saintess, so be careful.”

━Yes, I understand.

The Vatican guards moved first towards the yellow building, and the liberal revolutionaries who noticed their approach began to run away quickly.

“They’re withdrawing.”

━Shall we pursue them?

“I don’t think we need to stir up trouble unnecessarily.”

━I agree. But just in case, I’ll keep deploying troops to prepare for anything.

“I’ll keep moving from above.”

Oswald cursed the liberal revolutionaries who had appeared out of nowhere, raised the tension, and disappeared. Fortunately, there was no problem until they entered the guest house of the mayor’s office.

“Thank you for your hard work, Sir Oswald.”

“It’s nothing. . . Compared to the soldiers, it was easy for me.”

Thinking of the soldiers who had been running around through the crowds below, it was not particularly difficult to run around on the rooftop.

A moment later, Oswald, who was heading to the room assigned to him in the guest house, was surprised to find that he was right next door to the saintess, but he realized that the head of the Order of Knights of Order was behind this assignment. He must have assigned a demon hunter who was actually capable, thinking that if he assigned incompetent people next door, they would only get in the way of the Saintess. . . .

“What? Why is a demon hunter next door to the Saintess?”

Just as Oswald was about to enter his room, one of the Order of Knights of Order, wearing shining armor, looked at Oswald and sneered.

“Hey! Demon hunter. What are you doing in this room?”

“Are you stupid or thoughtless to question me even after receiving the assignment schedule?”

“What? Is this kid insulting me now? Do you want to die?”

“That’s ridiculous. . . . . . And you must know that I am your superior, don’t you?”

The members of the Order of Knights of Order were not official paladins. They were merely trainees, temporary members who had not yet been knighted. To put it bluntly, it would be more accurate to see them as cavalry or horsemen.

“So what? You’re probably just a lowly commoner whose family is poor?”

“Hahahah, looking at you, you must be a low-ranking noble.”

“How dare you insult my family? Do you want to die?”

“I don’t know what kind of worthless family you come from. . . but do you really think you’ll be safe after talking back to your superior?”

At that moment, Oswald’s figure disappeared, and before the horrified Order of Knights of Order member knew it, he was behind him, grabbing his shoulder and pressing down on it.

Kuung!

The knight fell to his knees, crushed by the enormous pressure.

“W. . . What kind of power is this?”

“Your eyes are where they belong. I’m going to let it go since we’re in a foreign country right now. . . but if you try to do anything stupid again. . . I will formally recommend an inquisition for heresy.”

However, Oswald’s warning fell on deaf ears. He glared at Oswald with a resentful expression, and in the end, Oswald struck the helmeted man’s head from top to bottom.

Tuung!

The man finally passed out. Soon, those who came out after hearing the commotion looked at the two of them in turn, and Oswald gave them an order.

“Get this out of my sight.”

Soon, several quick-witted members of the Order of Knights of Order came out and took the fallen man away.

At that moment, the saintess, who had been watching all this in silence, came out and said a word.

“You’re a bit too forceful.”

“From now on, this is a dangerous area. I needed to maintain some military discipline. . . and since he made an excuse for me, I went strong.”

“Would you like to come in and have some tea?”

“I’ll do that.”

Oswald did not refuse, as he needed to get close to the saintess in order to protect her.

🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸

“The security level is quite high.”

“Yes, I saw it. It even seemed to have a demon hunter.”

“Are you okay with that?”

“Why wouldn’t I be? If we succeed in this mission, you just need to remember the promise you made to give us a seat in parliament.”

“We will give you the right to run for office. . . but whether you are elected or not depends entirely on your efforts.”

“Don’t worry. We have quite a few followers, more than we expected.”

The liberal revolutionary in a green long coat and hunting cap and the woman in a black robe with a deep hood on her head finished their conversation and headed off in different directions

There was a man watching the meeting of the two organizations with a strange look. . . . . .

“Tsk, whoo. . . . . . I don’t know what this picture is. . . . . .”

He tilted his head as he looked at the strange combination in his mouth.

The man was dressed in the uniform of a New Continent vigilante, a cowboy outfit, and his right hand was strangely equipped with a magical engineering exoskeleton, which held a large magical engineering rifle.
