After four weeks of waiting in the rear to regroup, the New Millennium Federation has been established.
The Federation has formed technological alliances with the Great Zhou Empire and the Imperial Empire, introducing outstanding weapons and various technologies. In return, they have agreed to jointly develop some magic stone mines at a 4:6 ratio.
Following this, the New Millennium Federation began developing their own unique automatic rifles. In response, the Republic of Libertas also utilized its own technological prowess to extensively modify the existing Mars 36 and began mass production of the Mars 49 semi-automatic rifle.
Although it wasn’t quite an automatic rifle yet. . . it adopted a magazine system and enabled faster and more accurate firing with its semi-automatic mechanism.
In the case of the Comanche Kingdom, most of their infrastructure had been destroyed by the Chaos attacks, and they were pouring all their funds into reconstruction. Therefore, the option of developing new weapons was simply not available.
Fortunately, as the Republic of Libertas began mass production of the Mas 49, they were transferring their remaining surplus Mas 36 weapons to the Comanche Kingdom, leaving them with no choice but to make the best use of these weapons.
“Major General Valencia! Have you considered returning to Maesterium?”
“. . . . . .”
Some time ago, Brigadier General Krakhma, the head of Maesterium, visited this front line. The reason was. . . well, after videos of their exploits on the battlefield were sent to the empire, they became aware of the existence of the Great Zhou Empire’s land battleships.
“That. . . senior, I am the commander leading the expeditionary force. How could I possibly return to Maesterium?”
“Well, you can have someone else take command, and you can come with me to build that land battleship!”
Even though Blood Daemon was said to be omnipotent. . . it was impossible to replicate something without understanding its operating principles and concepts. The things that had been implemented using Blood Daemon so far were based on anime, manga, and novels that Oswald had mastered, where the operating principles and concepts were detailed, providing the necessary knowledge for their realization. However, the land battleship was different.
He could roughly guess how it might work. . . but he didn’t know the exact principles behind its movement. That’s why even the Chaos demons were amazed by Oswald’s ability to handle Blood Daemon so well.
“I apologize, but I can’t keep assisting Maesterium forever, can I? My help might actually hinder Maesterium’s technological advancement. You should build the land battleship yourselves without my assistance. I believe you already possess all the necessary technology, don’t you?”
Upon hearing Oswald’s words, Brigadier General Krakhma pondered for a moment and then nodded.
“Indeed, we have been taking the easy path for too long. . . It seems we have momentarily lost our creative spirit. I apologize.”
“No, it’s fortunate that you realized it now.”
“We will somehow manage to develop the land battleship with the sole power of Maesterium, without your help, Oswald.”
Following this, Brigadier General Krakhma formally requested the Great Zhou Empire for a land battleship inspection. Of course, the Great Zhou Empire, in return, demanded an inspection of the aerial magic carriers and battleships, to which the Imperial Empire agreed.
Since it was expected to take a considerable amount of time for the Great Zhou Empire, with its still infantile magic engineering, to build aerial magic battleships or carriers, the Imperial Empire, with its relatively advanced mechanical engineering technology, deemed it advantageous.
While the three vanguard nations, the Imperial Empire and the Great Zhou Empire, were undergoing reorganization, the Saharan Empire embarked on a second conquest at the request of the Orion Empire and the Elondil Empire.
The Northwest Expeditionary Force, primarily composed of the New Millennium Federation, dispatched a total of 300,000 troops from the federation and deployed around 50 armored magic vehicles, manufactured using technology transferred from the Imperial Empire, to the front lines.
These magic vehicles, powered by magic stones, resembled ordinary carriages with armor plating, and were equipped with 360-degree rotating magic turrets on top. Although the spherical magic cannons they carried might lack in power compared to gunpowder-based main guns, they were perfectly suited for protecting infantry by taking the lead.
A grand total of 770,000 troops, including 300,000 from the New Millennium Federation, 50,000 from the Comanche Kingdom, 20,000 from the Commonwealth of Texas, 100,000 from the Republic of Libertas, 100,000 from the Saharan Empire, 100,000 from the Orion Empire, and 100,000 from the Elondil Empire, participated in the Northwest Conquest.
In response, the champions of the Church and the Dark Brotherhood decided to accompany them. Oswald, realizing that he couldn’t simply sit out the battle, sent Athen along with the aerial assault unit. as support.
After sending off Athen and wasting time at the garrison, Brigadier General Krakhma returned from his inspection of the land battleship and carrier.
“Ah! Come to think of it, our Maesterium’s new carrier will be arriving in the New Continent soon.”
“A new carrier?”
“Yes, it’s even bigger and more magnificent than the ‘Metatron’ class. It’s practically a moving airbase.”
“How big is it?”
“It utilizes spatial expansion magic and can accommodate an entire air wing. It even has factories inside for manufacturing and repairing fighter jets.”
“. . . . . . .”
An air wing meant that it could carry 243 fighter jets, and with the addition of repair and manufacturing factories, its size must be enormous.
“The central government has named it ‘Central,’ after the empire’s capital.”
Hearing the specifications of the ‘Central’ class carrier, Oswald thought he would get to witness the true meaning of extravagance.
‘𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘱𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭. . . 𝘐𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘶𝘵.’
Moreover, Oswald was scheduled for promotion to lieutenant general. Considering that he had only recently been promoted to major general. . . it was practically a rapid advancement.
This had caused some grumbling from the Western and Northern Military Districts. . . but the Ministry of National Defense, as well as the Central Military District, Eastern Military District, and Southern Military District, dismissed their complaints, telling them to improve their capabilities if they felt wronged.
