The Late Game Healer Is Way Too Strong – Chapter 64.1

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟔𝟒: 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞

Beast of the East.

Chariot of the Battlefield.

The hunter who came the closest to the Round Table of Gods, ‘Misteltein’, consisting of the twelve divine beings.

These were just some of the expressions used to describe Choi Dae-soo, the first hunter president of the Republic of Korea.

「With the body of a tiger, a fox’s head, and the power of a bear, he was a force of nature.」

「There is no hunter in all of Asia who can stand up to Choi Dae-soo and fight him one-on-one.」

‘𝙎𝙝𝙮𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙡’, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙞 𝘿𝙖𝙚-𝙨𝙤𝙤’𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨, 𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚.

“Choi Dae-soo is a hunter who can’t be defeated,” assessed ‘Arakami Izanami’, the number-one hunter in Japan, during the 「South Korea-Japan Joint East Sea Gate Raid.」

Choi Dae-soo, acknowledged by top-tier hunters from around the world as South Korea’s greatest hunter.

Choi Dae-soo.

He has held the title of Korea’s No. 1 for nearly ten years.

Whether others thought well of him or not, Choi Dae-soo had held onto his position.

Without ever giving an inch to ‘Sword Demon Do Kyung-hoo’ who followed closely in his footsteps.

There was nothing Choi Dae-soo lacked as a hunter.

There was no hunter in all of South Korea who could stand against him.

Or so it had been until now.

Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Choi Dae-soo’s hand was forcefully twisted as an explosive sound rang through the air.

He had grabbed the empress by the neck and was trying to subdue her.

Breaking one of her limbs or two would have been enough.

He knew her combat methods and skills well, and even if he fought her at full strength, it would only take a minute to defeat her.

The issue wasn’t simply one of strength; Choi Dae-soo’s abilities were simply superior to hers.

So this counter-attack had been totally unexpected.

‘𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙔𝙚𝙤-𝙝𝙬𝙖. . .?! 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙢𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. . .’

With just a single attack, Choi Dae-soo had analyzed and figured out his opponent.

The result was reached almost instantaneously.

The whole process had taken place in nanoseconds and, even before his arm could be completely broken, Choi Dae-soo had erected a shield and quickly dodged out of the way.

A tingling in his palm.

He looked down at his trembling hand.

Had this been any other hunter, their palm would have exploded instead of just throbbing with pain.

It was a familiar, almost nostalgic, pain that he hadn’t felt for a long time.

“We meet again. . . Min Siwoo.”

Choi Dae-soo spoke to the person in front of him.

Min Siwoo, looking at him arrogantly.

Was there really anyone in South Korea right now who dared look at him like this?

Even if they were being presumptuous, they would immediately lower their tail and bow their head if he showed them a little bit of his power.

That’s why Choi Dae-soo was delighted by this situation, by the appearance of his nemesis, Min Siwoo.

How long had it been since he had experienced such excitement?

“Congratulations, Kang Yeo-hwa. You’ve finally met your master.”

“You son of a b*tch. . . You knew my master was here and yet. . .!!”

Kang Yeo-hwa’s eyes turned blood red with anger and her teeth gritted together.

“That’s why I told you. I’d let you meet soon.”

“You piece of sh*t. . . you won’t die a good death.”

“Kukukuk. Don’t be so harsh. We both had our reasons for coming here.”

Using Kang Yeo-hwa’s desire to save her master, Choi Dae-soo had achieved both his own goals and his political ambitions.

But he always paid Kang Yeo-hwa a fair price and never failed to work together with her to help her grow her guild.

Because what he needed most were ‘limbs’.

Loyal subordinates he could trust, devoted followers who wouldn’t betray him.

People who had always followed Min Siwoo.

In the end, Kang Yeo-hwa never warmed to Choi Dae-soo, no matter what the cost.

“So the master has appeared in person to resolve his disciple’s grievances?”

“There’s something more important than that.”

Siwoo replied casually.

Choi Dae-soo observed Siwoo closely.

Judging from his expression and mana, Siwoo seemed very relaxed.

“Strange. How can you be so arrogant after taking advantage of your disciple?”

“Well, why do you think?”

Choi Dae-soo’s lips twisted.

That calm expression. That leisurely manner, no matter who he was in front of, was one of the main reasons Choi Dae-soo hated Siwoo.

It was the kind of absolute arrogance only the strong could show.

“You’ve become quite relaxed since I last saw you. When you stormed the Presidential Office, you seemed a little edgy.”

“I had my reasons at that time.”

Despite the obvious sarcasm, Siwoo didn’t react.

As the saying goes, it takes two to clap; sarcasm and ridicule are only fun if the other person responds.

Choi Dae-soo clicked his tongue in annoyance and asked,

“So, if it’s not about your disciple’s problem, what did you call me here today for? To have a little chat after so long?”

“Of course not. We’re not that close.”

Siwoo only showed a cool and dry glare.

“Then what is it? I don’t have the time to play along with your little games.”

“I was wondering if maybe you were the one who made the request to the ‘Ghost Corps’.”

“Ghost Corps? What a childish name.”

“But it doesn’t make sense that you would hire such an organization to get rid of Yeo-hwa or me.”

Choi Dae-soo seemed to understand what was going on and let out a low laugh.

“Kukuku. Min Siwoo, I wouldn’t hire a hitman to kill you. If I were going to do it, I would do it myself.”

“I doubt the day that happens, even a hundred years from now, but that’s your style.”

Siwoo nodded as if in agreement.

Just by knowing each other’s abilities, a lot could be understood.

He had come to see Choi Dae-soo in person because he had thought that perhaps the drug story was just a bluff, but judging from his mana signature, it didn’t seem like he was lying.

“If you’ve finished your interrogation, can I leave now?”

“That’s done, but there’s one more thing.”

“What?”

“Didn’t I tell you not to touch my people?”

Siwoo said, giving off a faint aura.

“Are you finally bringing that up? You need to be reasonable; it was a give-and-take between the two of us because we had a mutual understanding. A fair trade between hunters.”

“Really? In that case, how did you plan on getting me back in another dimension? You must have had a way to do it, or you wouldn’t have made the deal.”

“. . .I’m the President of South Korea. I can create new methods if I want to.”

“I can’t tell if that’s an excuse or just nonsense.”

“Tch, tch. So what do you want me to do about it? Apologize?”

“No.”
