“Good news. We can now assert that there are no other Dyson’s minions in the school.”

The first words gathered by Roa-sama in the lounge were of good tidings.

Roa-sama’s face as he relayed the news was bright and clear.

Since that merchant’s visit, checking for watchers and those with the collar of submission, the escort duties, and lately, matters related to poison, have kept me rather busy.

Everyone’s faces lit up with joy, creating a festive atmosphere.

“The only one wearing the collar of submission is that merchant. It is unlikely that Dyson would infiltrate his minions anywhere without any insurance. Of course, we must not let our guard down. We still need to keep checking. But for now, we should prioritize dealing with the poison.”

“We have also confirmed that Dyson has not tampered with the school. Targeting Marina-sama might be due to her often being alone, but I speculate it is because of her herb research.”

I nod in agreement with Arthur’s firm voice.

Now that the possibility of poisoning with herbs has surfaced, Marina has become too dangerous a presence.

“It’s impossible that Dyson would overlook Marina-sama, who is engaged in this research. Considering the situation, it’s certain that the merchant is Dyson’s primary agent in the school.”

Arthur steps back, and Rene steps forward.

“Today, I received the goods. The merchant probed us, asking which Lady’s goods they were, where we were taking them. Edgardo, Rolf, and I went, but the amount was too much for three to carry. Helping to transport them, I suppose he wanted to find out which noble Alice is from. I refused. . . but instead of backing down, he persisted. A timid person might have been swayed.”

“He also tried to entice me with business. Claiming to have suitable accessories, nice gifts for a lady. I feigned interest and inquired, but those were regular items from his guild.”

Rolf, with a slight disgust in his voice, shrugged his shoulders.

“At the very least, they are taking measures not to arouse suspicion.”

It was Chris’s turn next.

He bowed his head slightly and began his report.

“The merchant finally made contact with someone. Since we ordered in bulk, his stock must have run low. Following the servant who interacted with the merchant, we tracked them to a certain noble’s mansion.”

The atmosphere became tense.

The name of the noble that Chris mentioned was the inconspicuous Count family, with no connections to the Norchev family, only greeting each other at parties.

“. . .So they were connected.”

Roa-sama, with a serious expression, tapped his crossed arms slowly.

“. . .I will contact my brother and have him send people from his side. Whether they can infiltrate or not. . . that will be left to my brother’s judgment. Any other reports?”

Finally, Edgardo stepped forward.

“I was stopped at the end and asked about Alice. Not to probe her status but to know about any changes in her health. He mentioned it’s the season for catching colds, but he probably wanted to know if Alice showed any reactions to the products.”

“How did you respond?”

“I said it was none of his business. I don’t know how he took that, but he mentioned that the products are always ready, so he might have heard something from Dyson.”

“Understood. Thanks to everyone for the reports. Let’s keep up the good work.”

I’m also here to share information, but the fact that I have nothing to report gives me an incredible sense of not being very useful.

Feeling a bit downcast, I was contemplating having a skewer-frying party to celebrate the progress when there was a knock on the door.

Tension mounted. Rolf and Arthur positioned themselves as if to hide behind the door, and Roa-sama moved away from it. After confirming that Edgardo and Rene had taken their positions in front, Chris opened the door to find Marina.

“Is that Marina-sama? Please, come in.”

Chris quickly invited Marina in and shut the door.

Marina, nervous in the presence of Chris in his beautiful maid outfit, made a relieved face when she saw me.

“I’m sorry for coming so suddenly! I have a report to make.”

Marina said something unbelievable in a normal tone.

“Thor has discovered something that appears to be poison.”

“Is that true?!”

“Yes. You know the goods are in powder form, right? One of them has been found to amplify the effects of the ingredients it’s mixed with. However, the machines at the school are old, so I can’t say for certain. I’d like to request an analysis at the castle.”

“Hmm. . . when you say amplify, what exactly do you mean?”

“For instance, if it’s mixed with something that thins the blood, it could cause the blood to not clot properly. Even if it’s meant to increase healthy cells, too much could lead to illness. And it’s likely that it requires a specific cooking method. For example, using this mixture when boiling white fish, or varying the types depending on the meat. . .”

“Do we have any that we know of now?”

“I’m compiling them. Thor found them.”

After glancing over the paper handed to her, Roa-sama nodded.

“Do you understand what’s written here, Marina-sama? Or should we bring Thor to explain?”

“I understand, but Thor would know more details.”

“Understood. Chris.”

“At once.”

Truly, Thor! My proud little brother! Amazing!

I couldn’t help but smile proudly, and Marina smiled back at me.

“Truly like Thor’s Nee-sama. I heard you visited the lab the other day. . . Since then, Thor has been incredible. . . with persistence and enthusiasm, and the sentiment that anyone who would cross Tianne-sama should be burned to ashes!”

“. . .Indeed.”

Unsure of how to respond, I just nodded.
