𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟗: 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐞
Operate the menu and execute the addition of a new floor.
5000 DP is consumed, and the dungeon rumbles.
Then, a large floor is created behind the boss room and the core room (I decided to call the room with the dungeon core that).
ㅤ
When I checked the dungeon map in the menu, the size was about four times that of the boss room.
In other words, a circle with a diameter of about 200 meters.
It’s spacious.
Alright.
Let’s quickly use the remaining DP to remodel. . .
ㅤ
“. . .No, wait.”
ㅤ
At that point, I suddenly realized.
Is it really okay to remodel it?
ㅤ
If I create a maze and set up traps and monsters, this place will become a complete dungeon.
Well, it’s already a dungeon, but I mean it will become a dungeon that is obviously a dungeon at first glance.
Of course, intruders will notice it’s a dungeon and be cautious.
ㅤ
One of the reasons I was able to kill the three intruders so easily this time might be because they let their guard down, thinking this was just a cave.
Especially the guy who fell into the pitfall, he fell beautifully as if he hadn’t even considered the existence of a pitfall.
If he had realized it was a dungeon, he should have been cautious of at least one trap, but he fell into the pitfall so cleanly.
Isn’t that because he didn’t realize this was a dungeon until the very end?
After all, this place really looks like just a cave at first glance, and the Living Armor-senpai doesn’t look like a monster at first glance either.
It looks like a person wearing full armor.
Especially in the dimness of our dungeon, you wouldn’t be able to tell the subtle differences between it and a human.
ㅤ
A dungeon that doesn’t look like a dungeon at first glance and isn’t guarded.
This is a strength.
But if I don’t remodel, the defense will. . .
ㅤ
“Ugh. . .”
ㅤ
As a result of my pondering, I decided not to do a major remodel.
I only installed a maze (1000 DP) and didn’t touch anything else.
This maze is not the typical maze that appears in RPGs, but a maze (cave) type that looks like a normal, intricate cave at first glance.
And, using the same method as when I moved the dungeon core, I moved the boss room and core room to the newly created floor below.
ㅤ
🔹𝔸𝕨𝕖𝕓s𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤.𝕔𝕠𝕞 ― 𝕀𝕟𝕕𝕦𝕝𝕘𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝕒 𝕔𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕤𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝𝕤 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 “𝕕𝕒𝕚𝕝𝕪 𝕦𝕡𝕕𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕤” 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕖𝕩𝕔𝕝𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕧e 𝕒𝕔𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕒𝕕𝕧𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕕 𝕔𝕙a𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕤🔹
Thus, this dungeon became a cave-mimicking dungeon that is indistinguishable from a regular cave until you reach the boss room.
However, the entrance to the boss room has become a door for some reason, so if someone advances to the front of the boss room, they will at least notice that it has been tampered with by humans.
To eliminate any sense of discomfort, I made the door look old and worn (change cost 10 DP), but I wonder how much I can deceive with this.
. . .Also, I said that the time has come for the cave to evolve into a dungeon, but in the end, it couldn’t evolve.
Yeah.
I’ll evolve into a dungeon another time.
ㅤ
This design, which was completed in this way, has led to a tremendous decrease in defense power, but the merits are also significant.
ㅤ
First of all, the intruders will let their guard down.
And another thing.
This is the main point, but I’m hoping that the intruders will decide “Hmm, this is just a cave.” after a little exploration and go home.
ㅤ
After all, there are no traps, no monsters, and no treasure.
There are very few people who would think of exploring every corner of a 200-meter diameter maze in such a place with no excitement.
It’s a hundred times more meaningful to investigate other dungeons than to investigate just a cave.
In other dungeons, there are traps, monsters, and most importantly, treasures.
If they have a normal sense, they will definitely explore that side.
ㅤ
I guessed that other dungeons would have similar features based on the information given by the dungeon core.
The instinct of the dungeon core generally desires to develop the dungeon in such a way.
Attract people with treasures, kill them with traps and monsters, and gain DP.
And then it develops like that.
ㅤ
However, regardless of ordinary dungeons, our dungeon has no intention of changing its stance of refusing intruders.
Our income is covered by Grand Magic-senpai’s incredible work ethic.
Therefore, hikikomori is the priority.
Intruders don’t need to come.
If they do come, I’ll kill them.
However, I might forgive them if they just explore the cave a little.
I really don’t like it, but it’s a hundred times better than being exposed as a dungeon and becoming widely known.
ㅤ
So, that’s it for this round of strengthening.
The remaining assets are 70 DP.
With this, I can’t do much anyway.
ㅤ
So, I decided to reward myself in celebration of my first victory.
ㅤ
First, I prepared a small bucket (5 DP).
Then, I took out two small rods from the intruder’s waist pouch.
As a result of appraisal, I found out that these two rods are [Fire Magic Tool] and [Water Magic Tool], respectively.
It seems that when you pour MP into them, they activate simple fire and water magic.
ㅤ
Using the MP that had recovered during the dungeon remodeling with MP Auto Recovery, I produced water and poured it into the bucket, then used fire to heat the water.
After that, I took out a towel (3 DP) and soaked it in the hot water.
Then, I took off my clothes and wiped my body with the wet towel.
ㅤ
“Ah~.”
ㅤ
Amazing.
It feels so good.
I never knew that wiping my body with hot water could be so blissful.
It’s a happiness that I could never feel in Japan, where baths were taken for granted.
ㅤ
After fully enjoying it, I returned the dirty water (which didn’t even amount to 1 DP) and put away the bucket and towel.
I plan to dry the towel and use it again.
ㅤ
Next is the main event.
I ordered the most luxurious-looking meal I could get with the remaining 62 DP.
A Katsudon came out.
It cost 60 DP.
It’s not my favorite dish, but considering it’s a celebration of victory, I think it’s the best choice.
I immediately ate it using chopsticks (1 DP).
ㅤ
“. . .Delicious.”
ㅤ
Delicious.
It’s really delicious.
The taste of victory.
ㅤ
Besides, when I think about it, this is my first meal since coming to this other world.
I didn’t realize it because I didn’t feel like eating anything until now, but it seems I was quite hungry.
I usually have a small appetite, but this time, with the victory feast, my chopsticks kept moving.
Occasionally, I drank water from a cup (1 DP) filled with magic tools and finished eating all the Katsudon.
ㅤ
After finishing eating, I was still excited about the victory, and my tension was high, so I raised the cup high and shouted loudly.
ㅤ
“Cheers to the beginning of a new sanctuary!”
ㅤ
After shouting that, I chugged the remaining water in the cup.
It was just water, but it tasted so good, and I felt happy.
ㅤ
ㅤ
However, I never imagined at that time.
The remodeling I did just to disguise the cave would unexpectedly lead to such a situation.
